I'm 39 and I still have my "blankie". The very same little white blanket that I slept with from the time I was a baby until the birth of my oldest child. Once Michael was born, 20 years ago, I tucked it safely away in the second drawer of my chest of drawers where I can easily get to it on occasions just like tonight, I'm single now and home alone with pneumonia. It makes for as much comfort now as it did in the days when I was young.

Mine isn't a blankie, per se. I obtained it when I was about 15...and it's a nice sleeping blanket. I still keep it on the bed, unless it's too warm out. I'm 40 now, so it's a 25 year old blankie.

I never had one when I was a kid but when I was like 15 my grams bought me this black flannel blankie and I'm 22 now and I still sleep with it every night. If I go places like to Hotels or families houses over night sometimes I take it with me. And when I'm sick its the only thing that makes me feel better. Of course I also do see a psychologist once a week.

Not a blankie, but I have the pillow I was given as a baby by my grandmother. I stopped sleeping with it when I was aroung 15 or 16, but always kept it nearby. Now (I'm 26), it's on a decorative shelf in my bedroom.

I am 35 and still have my "woobie." It is one of my only treasures, I evacuated from Katrina with it and it is a great comfort. It is in perfect condition and now my 8 year often sneaks away with it. I have often wondered why I brought it with me and not my important papers, pictures, and jewelry. I guess it is because it would be hard to get lost in the embrace of paper, pictures and jewelry.

I still have my baby blanket. My grandmother gave it to me in 1953. My mother kept it for years and then made it into a quilt. It is the only thing that I have had ALL MY LIFE.

Mine finally disintegrated when I was in high school. I still have my teddy bear, though. He sits on a shelf and keeps an eye on me. LOL I'm 42, btw.
