First of all....Why are you calling him? Why do you want to get back into something that is now your past? What are you trying to do?
Do you want him back? Someone once told me....Never date someone you already dated. Plz take that advice.

Well if you must call, decide if this is the best thing to do at this time. Did you two end it on bad terms? Have you had any type of contact with him to let you know it probably would'nt be the best thing to do? If nothing like that has occurred then keep it simple and say what is on your mind. Be smart about it, know why you are calling him. Keep it short if you begin to feel uncomfotable.

When he/she answers the phone, tell him/her exactly why you felt like making contact, and then shut up and let him/her reply! That should start the conversation ok.
