Are you talking about racism that actually is about someone's genetic race or about their culture and country of origin? I see a lot of hispanics shouting racism when it comes to immigration, when actually it has nothing to do with their genetic makeup but where they come from. If a caucasion had Mexican citizenship and was deported for illegally entering the U.S. Would these same hispanic organizations support him? Would the NCAAP support a naturalized citizen from Africa being called an African-American if they were Caucasion?
Yes, I believe that everyone is more comfortable with people that are similar to themselves. Many studies have born this out no matter what the race of the people studied. That is not racist. I believe that Racism is being HARMFULLY DISCRIMITORY due to the GENETIC MAKEUP of someone or a group of people. Discriminating due to a cultural difference, or geographical difference is not racism even when two different races are involved.

in a way yes....but there are some people...very few that honestly do not even acknowledge the color of skin. What i dont understand is, obviously white people were the first to be racist, but if everyone wants to let that go, why do other races be racist on whites....and then blame us for their own ignorance.

i never thought of myself as racist but i guess i do prefer not to be around Mexicans that i don't know (sorry if I'm offending anyone) becuase I used to live in LA and as a white girl, i was made fun of. So yes, I guess everyone is a little racist.

It is called Ethnocentrism and it refers to "less than open trust of other races". It is genetic and has to be overcome by education and self-reflection.
Good luck!

It is more of a condition of who you are raised with rather than what race you are.
