I've always been curious. My wife has limited exposure to the many men's colongnes. I want to find one that a lot of women think is sexually intoxicating.

...about having to listen to Amy Poehler and Will Arnett talk about their damn private jet every time a new page loads? Talking internet ads are the worst idea since rubbing mercury into hats.

Anyway, are women smarter than men? I dunno, discuss or whatever.

My bf is home from college and his mom and I have had some differences. Some of her concerns were fair enough. I met her for lunch (I didn't let her pay just to be a witch about it) and we talked and things went ok and now she feels much better.

It's not like she is a horrible person. But I just feel so awkward and uncomfortable with her still.

What can I do? :(

find happiness with someone he feels he can trust. He works offshore and he doesn't trust me. He brought so much drama and I tried to be patient and understanding, but he didn't give me that same respect in return. During our 2 year relationship a woman showed up from his past with kids and he took he a DNA test and the teens are his. I was still there but he still says he doesn't trust me. I've always been emotionally financially supportive when he need me. I'm tired of his drama, and now I want to stay single. It is so peaceful being single. I don't have to worry about him standing me up, or telling me I'm full of **** when his bi polar disorder kicks in. I feel liberated any other women have similar experiences?

One thing I appreciate is my husbands random acts of affection.

My husband just came up and gave me a hug and kiss. I asked "what did I do to deserve this?" and he said "no reason, just because."

The true motivations of supposed feminist helpers during WWI have always been suspect, by historians. Yes, Mary and others assisted, but only to repair the men and return them to the front so that women could continue to enjoy a life of privilege without responsibility.

--Source---- http://www.warandgender.com/wgwomwwi.htm
Mary Borden, a Baltimore millionaire who set up a hospital unit at the front from 1914 to 1918, wrote: “Just as you send your clothes to the laundry and mend them when they come back, so we send our men to the trenches and mend them when they come back again. You send your socks … again and again just as many times as they will stand it. And then you throw them away. And we send our men to the war again and again … just until they are dead.”

i am noticing that a lot of people seem think it's ok for people to be mean as long as "what they're saying is true". in other words, it's ok to call ugly people ugly and it's ok to harshly tell people they "suck" at things if they do.

i think this is a backwards mentality. what ever happened to the golden rule. yeah, sure, lets forget the most basic values we learned in kindergarden. it is also much more disapointing when these people are grown men and women who are supposed to be more mature. what do the rest of you think?

I'm just wondering if such a woman is seen by feminists as overly concerned with how she looks, and therefore "just doesn't get it".

I have read for months in here (Gender and Women's Studies), wrong ideas about feminism. I have been scratching my head so many times that I will become bald (lol).

I am reading now a FANTASTIC book: "Backlash" by Susanne Faludi, suddenly, everything I have been reading in this Yahoo category against feminism makes perfect sense.

So, this is a small introduction to many more answers inspired by this book (lol)

How much do you feel the media has influenced people to have a wrong and negative idea about feminism and feminists?

It’s the holiday season (I know Hanukkah’s over, though), and we need to share some love and peace with our fellow posters.

Can I ask for those of you who like to pick on other posters to just “let it go” and be nice for a change?

Do you think it's right that people complain about being blocked only to have them block you because you said they are using copyrighted material because they have no imagination?

Oh, and what do you want for Christmas?
