i think that stuff is overrated. there may be select women who it will have some effect on, but for the most part, i agree with what the 10th guy to comment on that article said. there are a lot of women who will write you off as not worth talking to based in the way you look. if that's the case, you'd simply be bothering them.

Interesting timing for all of this.
Holidays are typically the loneliest time of the year for a lot of people and the--rate of certain self inflictions goes up dramatically during this time of the year. Perhaps people that spend so much time on the internet are lonely and Yahoo is trying to get them out on the streets out into the real world as opposed to spending time on the internet. Any time I have approached a woman, I have done many of those things. I never used a cheezy line. Just not my style.
Now when I approach a woman it is normally from the back and I kiss her on the neck and say "Hey Gorgeous. How was your day?"
Strangely enough, I have never been slapped, just answered by "Whatever. grab me a beer." =)

I read that earlier today. I am a women but if a man approached me like that I would like it. Although some men look so cute when you can tell they are a little nervous.

Common sense.
Somebody posted the following comment, which I thought was hilarious:
"upon introduction, plead with her to love you. then complain about all your old girlfriends, and how angry they made you, how much you wanted to slap the smirk off of their faces. women respect a take charge, no nonsense fellow."

Pretty much on-target, generally. So what do the women have to "do"? In this scenario, be pretty....
Hey, that's cool, as long as it's recognized for what it is,......more work for the guys than the gals.

Those are the best suggestions they've had in a while (which isn't really saying much).
