Some people are very formal, and will rarely do more than shake hands.

Others will hug near perfect strangers.

In France it is typical to kiss on either cheek as a greeting and as a goodbye.

Do you have a hierarchy of hugs/cuddles/handshakes/waves? Does it completely depend on the person you want to demonstrate affection towards?

Are you comfortable with how people demonstrate their affection towards you?

For you - are there significant differences in the way *you think* affection should be shown between the genders (example you may prefer men handshake with men, women hug men and women, men do not hug men)

How do you show you affection? How do you decide?

Obviously, people are all different.

But imagine that all you know about someone is that they are a masculinist. You have never seen them, met them or talked to them.

What mental picture do you have of that person, if any?

I just came across a few 1998 articles about bank practices. Do you realize that in 1973 ( that is only 34 years ago!!) married women were not issued credit cards in their own name? That most women could not get a bank loan without a male co-signer?

Amazing is it not? Thank goodness times are changing. Slowly but surely in my opinion! :)

According to certain ''feminists'' on here, women were only included in History books when feminism came along and wrote ''women's history'' books. It's funny because they value those books as ''unbiased'', yet books written by males, according to them, are ''biased'', and left women out. Is this ANOTHER case of hypocrisy? Feminist-written books are unbiased, and male ones are?

I was just thinking and do boys actually like size 0 girls, you know, with bones sticking out. Or do they like girls with 'love handles' or girls with a bum, boobs and hips? What do you think is the limit to 'curvy' until it gets to just plain fat? Boys answer this

Multiple feminists stated that they are, so I went to Google Books, selected the first pre-second-wave-feminist history book that I came upon (which was from 1919) and randomly selected a page. That page highlighted an entertainment business run by a woman (one Mrs. Wright) in the early 18th century. So what's up with that? I cannot believe someone I have been going out with, told me he only likes foreign women. This means he sees me as the stereotypical foreign woman. I did not take that very well at all. I look at him differently for that comment and even decided not take him to my company's Christmas party...and pretty much not see any potential in him. There is nothing wrong with the stereotypical foreign wife, but I'm definitely not one of them, and I don't see any compatibility with someone who wants that.

What's the definition? And have you ever been called one? LOL

and paired them up to work out their frustration behind closed doors, they would come out with a smile on their face, seeing the world differently? Or would the bitterness and hatred still stand?

I personally think the majority just need some touch and affection, so this may very well be a better solution than arguing on here all day.

Houston we appear to have a problem.
There exists on this forum a poster who has taken the style of another poster and is posting rather disappointing comments.
You know who you are and so do I.
Rather than expose you, which I could do.
I am asking you to stop now.

Scenario: You have two people coming in for a job interview at your pharmaceutical company. One is a man and one is a woman. You are looking over their resumes and you notice that their resumes are equivalent. You aren't sure which one you are going to hire. The woman arrives second and the man arrives first for their interview. After the interview, you decide that they did equally well during the face to face interview.

Question: Whom do you hire?

I'm interested in the relationships between women, as well as relationships between women and men.

The worst things women have done to me have been at work, when they've been my bosses and stabbed me in the back. They've cost me my health, jobs, and quite a lot of money.

I could never work out why they had done it, as face-to-face we had cordial relations, and I never did anything to harm them.

I could only conclude that they found me some kind of threat.

Rush Limbaugh, yesterday, said that America isn't ready to watch Hillary age before our eyes on a daily basis. What do you think of that comment? Is that just a back door attack on her, or is it a grossly sexist comment? Or both? He says we don't want to see aging women.

To me, this really does illustrate a fundamental inequality.

Take any woman, half way attractive, on a night in town. Who dances, or simply sits with friends. The odds are good that one or several men will seek to initiate a conversation with her. Even though she may dismiss them out of hand.

Those men put themselves out there asking.

Yet (rockstars excluded) even handsome attractive men for the most part need to initiate a contact to find a partner. Even if she drops many hints and he is good at reading them. Yes, such a man will often be welcomed and accepted, and have many partners, or the one of his choosing. Yet still the emphasis is traditional.

To find a partner as a woman, most all she has to do is bat her eyelids and open herself to the possibility. Then she can be picky over who she chooses.

Are Men Resentful Because they Cannot Find Partners as Easily as Women Surely Do?

I've never understood that. If my boyfriend cheated on me, I wouldn't be happy with the other woman, but 99.9% of my anger would be directed at HIM. I mean we're the ones in a relationship, not me and the other woman. She has no loyalty to me.

Yet, time and time again, I see women fighting each other over a cheating man rather than being mad at the man who has betrayed them both. What gives?

Am I reading the feminists wrong? Do they admit that attractive women get away with an awful lot? Do they admit they can have advantages in the workplace (and elsewhere) that outpace those of men? If they admit it, do they factor it in when considering the plight of women in general?
