i beleive in child support&womans right to choose however why is it women go to blame mode on men . If you did not want a child you should not have slept with her .

The responsiblty is both the male and the females .We dont say to women if you did not want to get pregnant keep your vagina shut . So why do we go to blame mode on men when they articlaute there concerns ?

Have men been disempowered? Empowerment is the deliberate shifting of power from one group to another. Like Hitler empowered the nazi party in old Germany. And when one group is empowered another group is correspondingly disempowered. Using the German analogy, it was the Jews who were disempowered.

In Brit and the US today, as feministic groups are empowered, do men and normal women become correspondingly disempowered?

Is it wrong if we put some of the blame on the woman who chose the wrong man and didn't use enough protection and got pregnant?

I'm not a single mom, so I know it's easy for me to preach all day long. But I'm also a woman and I have the power of deciding who to get involved with and who to get pregnant by.

Please note, I'm not taking any responsiblity away from the man's portion, but I feel that the woman is also responsible. The only victim here is the child who didn't have the freedom of choice but is suffering the consequences.

I also know all cases are not as black and white---I'm mainly speaking of relationships in which the father was absent from the beginning.

Can someone please explain to me why, in a divorce, women typically receive custody over the children while the husband pays child-support? Hypothetically, there should be an equal amount of divorced men who get custody over the children as divorced women, but that isn't the case. What's up with the gender bias in divorce, favoring women in regards to child custody? Why are things this way?

What if The woman in question used her body and physical assets in combination with hard work and dedication, would your opinion of her change or stay the same?

My original question was......

"If I as a waoman were to say that I have no qualms using my body and the physical assets i have in order......
to get ahead in the workplace what would your opinion of me be. Would your opinion be different if i were in a high paying job vs.. a low paying job? If so, why?"

I was immediately confronted by a listener as being "racist"??? and should not have said this word. What is the world coming to??? I only referred to this subject in the Latin Word, meaning no offence to anyone. Surely this is going too far?

I was just reading this article and I wanted to see what others thought of it. Especially this comment.

"Bill could cry, and did, but Hillary can't," says Tom Lutz, a professor at the University of California, Riverside who authored an exhaustive history of crying. In other words, the same tearful response that would be seen as sensitivity in Bill could be seen as a lack of control in his wife.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071024/ap_en_ot/the_crying_game

So are they saying that women aren't allowed so show emotion because that shows lack of self control? WHat happened in the old days where a man was looked down upon for crying?

What are your thoughts and beliefs? No I'm not a feminist just curious.

If you are religious.. don't bother answering because I think religion is drivel.

NOW.. explain the difference between abortion, birth control and not having sex. The same result.. so whats the difference?

I STRONGLY believe that the lives of grown adults are more important than some embryo thats not even alive yet. If the parents are against having it.. abort it. When your ready try again.

Human reporduction is easy enough that abortion is a non-issue. You can always get pregnant again.

Again... explain the difference between abortion, birth control and not having sex. The same result.. so whats the difference?

Ever notice that when a woman has had bad experiences and goes on a man-hating rant.. she is usually supported, given sympathy and agreed with.

On the other hand.. a man who goes on a woman-hating rant is called a misogynist, is told "he is meeting all the wrong women", and told he has poor dating skills.

Isn't this yet another example of women being painted as the victims and men as the monsters?

detect sexism or bias each and every case would have to be analyzed. Why cant they adopt the same mentality to the professional world ? When they see only 20% female in position X or field X there is no talking of case by case basis, of a sudden a raising of the female quota is asked for, not matter how and sexism automatically assumed.

I always hear feminists try to wiggle out of questions about the sexist nature of feminism with things like "I'm not that type of feminist" or "Well (insert name of sexist feminist leader) doesn't speak for ALL feminists."

There's always a means to pass the buck along.

It's hard to pinpoint what feminism is really about when people with seemingly diametrically opposite views are under the same blanket.

You'd think feminists would want to get rid of the "bad apples" that are marring the movement.

...& yet feminist blogs & feminist websites seem to have no problem agreeing with & promoting the works of the "bad apples."

Feminism seems to be very fragmented & inconsistent.
