There is so much discussion about whether priests should be allowed to marry or not but no one in the media is ever willing to even consider the possibility of a non-celibate nun. Isn't this just another example of discrimination against women?

Good Afternoon All,

Today we must mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many, many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were lost long ago under a pile of every increasing bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as - knowing when to come in out of the rain - why the early bird gets the worm - life isn`t always fair - and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children are in charge). His health problems began when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

It seems that radical feminists have not made any distinctions between good porn & bad porn. If materials that don't depict derogatory scenes against women then is it okay for consumption?

I am wondering whether the crux of the issue is age, or if it is the teacher's abuse of authority. Of course both are wrong, but if a 17 year old boy found a way to date a 24 year old woman outside of school, with no other connection to one another except a mutual attraction, would that relationship be ostracized equally harshly?

What are your thoughts?

Why do you think people are still interested/fascinated by the Madeleine Smith alleged crime and trial after 150 years? Especially when, I’m sure, other supposed murder crimes that had more victims and were probably more gruesome than one and that nobody really knows of today?

This is for all the ladies who feel they are discriminated against at work because of their kids.
This is from Yahoo!
http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/jobseeker/tools/ept/contribEditorPost.html?post=20

Summary:
''Companies in America go to great lengths to accommodate employees with kids. Generous paid maternity leaves, on-site or backup child-care assistance, options for flexible work options, and even scholarships to send employees' offspring to college are just some of the popular benefits touted by employers.''

''Too many instances where working moms expect accommodations because they've got to get home in time to relieve the baby sitter, or they assume it's acceptable to routinely miss meetings to take their kids to any number of after-school appointments.''

''There's often an implicit -- and hugely mistaken -- assumption that those without kids can stay late because their time is not as valuable or they have nothing better to do outside the workplace.''

Women's studies is a vast category: history, the arts, politics, human rights etc...
It was created to give women their rightful place in history.

I don't understand why some are here just to write with hatred. I assume they are not informed enough. What is the problem with these guys? I can imagine, but I would like the opinion of the ones that have been longer in this section.

A friend of mine is just out of a long term relationship and I have always known her to be kind, affectionate and loyal to her boyfriends. Recently she told me she is starting a sex only relationship with a man she has known for a couple months. They live about 45 minutes apart and see each other twice a week just to “sleep” together. She says she wants to concentrate on her career without romantic involvement. Is this a healthy relationship for a woman that has always been into monogamy? Is she just reaching out to this guy because she was hurt? Should I try to talk her out of it?

This is what a guy wrote about sex and alcohol.
"It is not rape if something you willingly do when you are drunk is not something you would do if you were sober."
Do you all agree ? Or do you think it is rape if it turns out the girl regrets having had sex with the guy when she sobers up and wouldnt have given consent sober ? (Before you all start Iam not taking about a girl that is asleep/passed out etc., just drunk).

Unnecessary?

Wouldn't it be more authentic to say: 'I have failed at romance and love and feel locked out of it and I am deeply resigned and a upset and powerless about the whole thing"

There's one thing I don't get. As we all know, the Bible is full of misogyny.

Some people say that the reason for women being discriminated in religion and in today's life is the fact that they were the ones who started the sin so they were basically the origin of the sin. But if God decided to punish women for Eva's actions only after Eva sinned, then why does God (who existed before Eva and Adam even came into the picture) has always been called a He? My point is that the fact that God fulfills the role of a male entity (even if He only does it with His name) goes to show that this discrimination against women has always existed and has no reason. If God would have given equal rights to both sexes and would have been truly fair as the Bible says, then He wouldn't have been called a He, He would have been a combination of both sexes. The appellative leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

From some books I knew that men think on the basis of logic and women think on the basis of emotion. When a woman does not feel same emotion about some thing they change their previous decision.
My some playboy type friends who have much experience about women advice me not to trust women. I also see that women say they like kind and truthfull man. But they make romantic relationship very easily with those stated playboy who are very cheater.
