Not all men are intimidated (most men are great). In my opinion it is just the ones that are insecure and feel threatened by powerful women. More of them are vocal here because they get the anonymity of hiding behind a screen name.

If you're a "Man" your not intimidated by any other man or woman. Now if you're boy then yes, you will be intimidated. The problem with most men today is that they have become more effeminate than most women. Women do not like a weak man. So the question is not "Are men kind of intimidated by a strong female these days?" It's "Are women turned off by weak or soft men?" It's all about confidence and the way you carry yourself that goes for both genders.

Only weak minded men are. Strong men with a confidence and a sense of self appreciate a strong woman by his side. Real men aren't intimidated by strong women!

A strong female is one who knows who she is and is perfectly happy to support herself and make her way in this world. It does not mean that she doesn't like men...but doesn't see them as a meal ticket or the means by which she will attain all her goals in life. If you are using that as a definition, I would suggest that men are not intimidated by these women...but they may, in fact, be looking for someone who is a little more submissive...more traditional. Fair enough.
There are many women who would call themselves strong...but that is just the politically correct term for it. They are man-hating, ball busting loudmouths...and NO one should tolerate that - man or woman...

Not so much anymore. I've heard a lot of testimonials from men about strong women. Only the most insecure ones could ever put up with a woman who didn't think for herself.

yes - it is much harder, if you earn good money, have a good career, have set prospects and a set life, to find a man who will not be scared and run away. men like women who be subdued, and not to hav the upper hand in the relationship. However men are becoming more accepting that today's women are no longer the ones they can twist and turn as they please ... they'll come around, as always!

I'm not because I know there is no such thing as a strong woman by my definition of strength. As for women who 'act' strong... it is usually a front or a defense mechanism. Most women are soft as cotton on the inside. Not scary at all. So guys.. stop being so damn nervous!

Good question. I think a lot of men ARE intimidated by strong females. Fear of losing power. Fear of losing respect. Fear of losing their traditional sense of manhood. Fact is that everyone is afraid of anyone that is stronger than they are, or who could become stronger than they are. It is instinctual; an internal defensive mechanism. It is not true of ALL men, but I suspect a vast majority of us are shaking in our boots. :-)
