We've made those distinctions. We would like porn better if:
1) It wasn't exploitive to either party.
2) It was consensual.
3) Both parties were adults.
4) It had some kind of plot.
5) It didn't have titles like "Big Round Latin Booty" or "Desperate Housewhores 6" (among other things I've seen in the listings for the Hustler Channel).
6) It had some decent lighting, for sobbing out loud.
Items 4 through 6 aren't particularly important, but that's how you'd increase the female market.
Anyway, porn is very good for your diet. Think of all the calories you're burning!

Sure, I think so. I'm always amazed at the dead silence in the room when I mention that the Japanese consume not only more porn than Americans, but often fairly depraved stuff. However, they have statistically zero rapes and few instances of domestic violence, at least compared to the US.
Every effort has been made to link porn consumption with violence or anti-woman attitudes, and there *is* no such link. I'd be pretty grossed out if my husband was reading the really sick stuff, but that's my personal preference.
Let's have a greater variety of porn, instead. Perhaps if people could easily indulge in mental fantasies, they might not be walking around angry all the time, quick to take out their anger on feminists.......

I reckon you will only find porn that, on the whole, either a man woulld rate good or the women would. Porn, like sex, is about different things to men and women. A guy needs visuality and to see things which are more enjoyable to men, whereas women want to see porn from the womans side. Porn is written to appeal to a male or a female mind, however, a lot of this will overlap. Women-friendly porn is more about the plot, the situation and the emotional tension of the moment, men need to see things more visually, more about the act of sex for sex's sake than the situation and reason surrounding it.

From the book, "The Good News about Sex & Marriage" by Christopher West:
14. What’s the big deal with porno?
Pornography is attractive. The reality should not be denied or dismissed. Instead, we need to ask why. Why is it so darned alluring? How is that it can reach in and get such a grip on our souls that it seems to suck us in with irresistible force?
I'm (Christopher West) speaking from a man's perspective, of course. Visual pornography is predominantly a male thing. It taps into the way men are wired much more than into the way women are. This is why PLAYGIRL magazine is purchased much more by men with same-sex attraction than by women. Most women simply don't get their "kicks" by looking at picture of naked men. There is however, a steamy female counter part to pornography --- romance novels. Both (romance novels & porno) are appealing to the fallen impulse in us for sexual gratification. Neither is very healthy. In fact, in both forms they lie to us.
What's the big deal with porno? It robs us of the very meaning of life. It's an anti-gospel message, because it seeks to foster precisely those distortions of our sexual desires that we must struggle against to obtain true love.
What's the big deal with porno? It does nothing but foster in a man his fallen inclination to treat women as things for his own self-gratification. A man who uses porno, so long as he remains in its clutches, has incapacitated himself to love women properly.
This isn't because the naked body is bad. Nor, for that matter, it is bad to desire to see a naked body. What's wrong is the lust in the human heart and the desire to foster the lust. What's wrong is in portraying the naked body in a way that intentionally incites lust and reduces a human being to an object to gratify the lust.

Don't you have anything better to do with your time than post rude comments about feminists? We all get the point...you don't like us, move on with your life!
