Fear often breeds hatred. The misogynists who obsessively spew hateful remarks on here are threatened. They mistakenly assume that female empowerment is synonymous with hating men. They can't handle what they perceive to be reverse sexism. It appears their entire self worth is based on the idea of male supremacy.
Plus, it's the Internet. People get away with being misogynist and racist under the guise of .anonimity.

Not necessarily the same people. The "audience" changes from day to day, hour to hour. And some of the askers are really curious, even if the question is the same as some ask just to be abusive. I do wish we could "boiler plate" some of the answers, though. It does get repetitious giving the same answers every time. Behind the phobias and isms, there seems to be confusion about separating the act from the desire. Most "straight' people are only conscious of what they see, the physical expression of desire, they don't comprehend the attraction behind it, they only see the sex, not the affection. It's frustrating trying to explain it and probably just as frustrating trying to understand it. My stepdaughter was thoroughly distressed and confused by science fiction, not understanding how anyone could "know" what the future will be like. She's physically unable to "see" beyond the present, in spite of having a great imagination. She can write fantasy stories, but not anything that might take place in the future. And I've run into others with the same inability. I think this is the same situation, often. They're not capable of comprehending what we try to explain, and it's maddening to both of us. IMHO, anyway.

You are absolutely correct...'Women's Studies' is a vast category. I imagine, when it was proposed, it was done so with visions of discussions of accomplishments and milestones in history...achieved by women. Perhaps, too, a section where women could go to access information or answers they seek. Sadly, however, this category has been hijacked by two sources....trolls and feminists.
As a strong and accomplished woman, I can find no commonalities between myself and the 'feminists' who visit this category to discuss their trials and tribulations at the hands of men. I am not foolish or naive...and am well aware of the good that has been accomplished by the feminist movement. I have benefited greatly from it, and will be forever grateful that I have been born in this day and age...as opposed to the days gone by. But that is exactly what they are...days gone by. Discussing past mistreatments of women is futile...and it disrespects those who worked so feverishly to change things for women like me....
Trolls just can't help themselves...when you have such obviously easy pickins...women who will take offense to every little jab...why wouldn't they hang out and bait the trap. If you read their outrageous questions and comments, you will see that there are many who have bitten...

I was actually pretty shocked to read some of the things in this section. I think the anonymity of the Internet plays a huge part--it's much easier to say that kind of stuff when no one knows who you are.
Also---and I don't mean this as a slight to anyone---I think lack of interaction with women may be involved. I'm not saying that everyone who posts anti-feminist things is a loser with no girlfriend. What I am saying is that they probably don't really talk to women or ask women their opinions a lot. Or---and again, this is not a slight---they just may not be educated in feminism.

You might want to reread your question. It contains several insults. You are basically trolling for trolls.
Then look at the answers you got. Sure, some misogynist jerks, but there are many insulting, hateful, ignorant and patronizing posts from the feminists. It appears to go both ways.
It looks like people like to be rude on the internet. Add the right topic and its just like throwing gasoline on a fire.

I was happy to badger one person on this site. He is gone I am here. If he should return I will find him and badger him again. Other than that I love the site and give my opinion. If it is mean then be it so.

Just learn to ignore them like the feminists have. We just tune them out, it is actually quite easy once you get the hang of it. They can be pesky but when you make it quite clear they are totally inconsequential they run off with their tales between their legs, and get off of yours. Since that seems to be the closest they have got to a real woman beside that blow up thingy with the blonde rubber hair.

It works both ways. There have been quite a few answers here from women as well who go out of their way to bash men in general (I know, I'm not perfect either), but there are alot of good men here that truly believe in equality for both genders, and there's alot of good women out there too that do the same.
Maybe it's eye for eye, tooth for tooth?

I hate because its I feel, I'm sick of being labelled as a walking penis with absolutely no morality. I have lost count how many times I've been given accusing glares just because I'm male instead of female.
It gets to the point where its not even worth while to be nice to them anymore, just tell them straight up how it will be, and show them the door if they don't agree.
