i had a dream last night that i was driving, and the steering wheel locked, so i couldn't turn, and i narrowly avoided an accident. Still, somehow, i ended up with a large gash in my foot and i had to go to the hospital. They began putting stitches in, and i remember thinking 'this doesn't hurt at all,' but i couldn't stop screaming for some unknown reason.

Younger generation, we notice two kinds of groups, one who is serious about their studies and the other one carefree ones.
The proportion of the careless youngsters is rising!!
and that is harmful for the future society. students in colleges are engaged in partying, smoking away their lives.
How can we hope for a healthy next generation....
What can we the elder generation, parents do about it? How can we control them without sounding bossy?

I had a dream that ended at a very unfortunate time (let's just say it was absolutely on the edge of beginning to get very nice, like within a second in the dream) when suddenly i woke up to the phone ringing. I have heard that dreams are actually played dozens, even hundreds of times faster than real time, such that the dream that seemed like it got cut off, in its approximate 20 or 30 minutes of run-time i can remember, was actually only occurring in the real-world over 3 seconds or less. The reason i wonder, is because if the phone rang once, my brain could have interpreted that to create an ending for my dream (through a seeming 30 minutes of story) that coincided perfectly with my waking. This seems to have happened several other times, where i wake at points in a dream that are relevant, instead of the midst of things.

So do dreams play out in your head at real-time, or are they sped up to being dream minutes flashing by in reality seconds as i've heard?

So I'm reading a book about the common mistakes women bosses make more than men. The most major one mentioned is "mismanagement of emotional distance." A lot of women fall into two categories:

1- The emotionally distant- Imitating the classic male boss; impersonal, tough and authoritative. As a result, pushing employees away, killing hopes, dreams & motivation.

2- The good mothers- Inviting too much emotionality into the relationships with employees, blurring the line between boss and friend. Wanting everyone to feel good, training employees to ask for more and more, and feel betrayed when for instance, a tough message regarding performance has to be delivered.

Thoughts? Experience? Cause? Anything you care to share.

If any things goes wrong or if i feel something is going against me, I usually try to discuss with one or two colleagues and still if i feel thhat things are not in my way i simply quit, but how correct it is to do so? Please suggest

This is going to sound totally crazy, but within the past few nights, I've been having these strange dreams about things I regret happening or things I'm in fear are going to happen. I am not one who believes that people communicate from the other side or anything like that, and I realize that this is just Yahoo Answers and I probably can't get any real help from here.
I had received an albino ferret who was about a month or so old when I got him 2 years ago. He died last year. He had cance, but there were NO SIGNS. He was playful, ate, etc. I noticed he wasn't gaining weight, took him to the vet, and he died right there.
I just had a dream that I was sleeping, and he came over onto my bed and put his nose in my face to wake me up. He wanted me to play with him and pet him, and I did. When I woke up, I realized he wasn't really there, and now I'm sad.
I guess I just regret not taking him to the vet sooner.
Anyone else ever go through something like this?

Ok, I have a girlfriend I love very much. We've been together for a couple years. Things are going great.

But one night I dream about having sex with this other girl I know. It was actually amazing yet disturbing. I felt very guilty for some reason. But later I figured, no big deal. Then the very next night, I dream that I'm walking towards the end of the tunnel and I see a bright white light. A man that looks kind of like Jesus comes out and says "Be with her" I said "what??" He shows me a picture of the girl i had sex with in a dream the night before. I wake up as if it was a nightmare, I'm sweating profusely. I honestly don't have any feelings towards this girl. She's very attractive but I'm in love with my girlfriend.

What does this mean??? Is this a sign?? I told the girl and she finds it amusing. I know I could be with this girl, but she's a lot younger and I'm in love with my gf. What do I do or think? HELP!

This is a curious question which belongs really nowhere, so I ask it here where many of you are known tome.

When someone says "I feel" and then goes on to explain what they feel..

do you respect it in the same way you might if they said

"I think" and then went on to explain?

However bright we are, whatever frameworks of understanding we build with our intelligence, do we respect feelings enough?

Feeling make choices. We often put our intellect at the service of our feelings. To me that is called politics.

It doesn't matter how clever you are, or whether you can convince others to be part of the plan. When someone says "I feel" it is a demand to be treated as an equal because the same capacity to feel and experience exists. Even if I may not agree.

Do you respect Emotional Integrity to the same Degree you Respect the Right to Differing Views?

Every few months or so I dream about tornados almost every night for about two weeks straight and I can't figure out why that is? They are never the same dream though most of the time the only thing in common are the fact that they all have a tornado. Someone wanna help?

the last few years have been really strong self discovery period. i was filled with ideas and inspirations. i like to write, and my head was sooo crammed with ideas i couldn't get it all down fast enough. now things are balancing out. i've ahcieved and had sucess in most of the areas i worked on....so now what? i'm idea-less. i have nothing inspiaring to think about...feeling kinda bored at the moment. what can i do to challenge my brain....my interests are mainy in: art, humanity, philosiphy, social science, spirituality(i'm not religious), music. thats all i can think of right now.

I'm shooting hoops with my boyfriend in the school gym, he leaves to do something && i'm raped by some random guy. He threatens to kill my boyfriend if I tell anyone, then my boyfriend walks in && the guy hides. He takes me outside && says I should tell someone then I wake up. We have been going out for almost a year now and I have told him that I love him, but he said that he was scared to tell me "those words" I stoped saying it so he can feel like he "was ready" but I told him again and he just shows it to me but can not tell me, im am wondering if i am just wasting my time or will he ever love me because I am sick of waiting. Sorry for the stupid question, but my wife says before giving birth to our child whenever she saw baby she always felt something. She says she still does sometimes with other babies. Being a man, this is such a strange concept to me. Is it really true for most women? Certainly can't be for all women.
I don't feel anything special when I see a baby. When I see my own baby I'm really happy but another baby, I'm just like yeah that's a cute baby.
