it is important

It depends on how strong it is. I have test anxiety, too. I've even had dreams the night before a big test about the test...once I dreamt about a psychology exam I was to have the next day. In the dream, every word on the exam was written in anagram form. I literally had to unscramble every single word in order to read the questions and answer them! (I told my psych professor about that, and he thought it was pretty funny)- but yes, some anxiety actually improves performance...it motivates you to study harder. But if it's extreme, it can sometimes interfere with your ability to recall the information. You can retrieve the information when you're overly anxious, and the trick is to clear your mind completely, take some slow, deep breaths, and relax. Tell yourself that you WILL do fine. That you KNOW the information, it's there in your brain, and you WILL recall it. (And by the way, even though I had what I thought was rather bad test anxiety, I actually did quite well on every test, getting better scores than I thought I would.)

Good luck!

I don't think it has any bearing on test performance. If you've studied for the test, you'll do fine. I always have huge text anxiety, but once I start the test and realize that I know the answers, things are just fine!

I would say it's bad, because the test-taker tends to focus on the anxiety rather that the material she's being tested on, which leads to poorer results than the test-taker is actually capable of.

To a certain extent, it is good. It gives you drive to work hard, but if it is in overdrive, then it does more harm than good and interferes with your ability to concentrate.

bad

depends on how you react to it...if it pushes you to study then it is good. butif it makes you feel a sense of worthlessness and uselessness, then it is detrimental...
