This is going to sound totally crazy, but within the past few nights, I've been having these strange dreams about things I regret happening or things I'm in fear are going to happen. I am not one who believes that people communicate from the other side or anything like that, and I realize that this is just Yahoo Answers and I probably can't get any real help from here.
I had received an albino ferret who was about a month or so old when I got him 2 years ago. He died last year. He had cance, but there were NO SIGNS. He was playful, ate, etc. I noticed he wasn't gaining weight, took him to the vet, and he died right there.
I just had a dream that I was sleeping, and he came over onto my bed and put his nose in my face to wake me up. He wanted me to play with him and pet him, and I did. When I woke up, I realized he wasn't really there, and now I'm sad.
I guess I just regret not taking him to the vet sooner.
Anyone else ever go through something like this?

Sometimes in our dreams, we review the past in order to find closure on it. It's hard to lose a pet that you are close to, and you are looking for closure on your grief at his passing. Even if you had caught on sooner that the pet was ill, it had cancer, you would probably have had to put it down anyway. For example, my cat died of chronic renal failure. There are treatments available for this, I could even have gotten her a kidney transplant, but it would have put her through all manner of stress and pain, where she would not have understood what was going on, and her quality of life would have suffered in the end. To treat her this way would have been more to make me feel better, than to help her. Granted, she had a good long life for a cat, it was about time for her life to end anyway, so I allowed what was left to her to run it's course, and did everything I could to help her enjoy her life while she was still there. If you had caught on to the cancer, it is likely that if you had put that poor ferret through chemotherapy and surgery etc, it would have put the creature through unnecessary pain, and you would be unable to explain to him why he is surrounded by this atmosphere that has caused him so much pain and fear. You would probably have chosen to put him down in the end, in order to spare him this. He didn't show any signs that he was sick, and even if he did, you would have had to weigh some heavy options. Go ahead and be sad, you are working out your grief, give thanks for the joy his companionship brought you, but don't have regrets about not catching it sooner, it sounds like he had a great ferret life with you...... I'm not saying that you shouldn't treat your pets when they are sick, of course you should, but some diseases are too catastrophic to expect a good out come, and would likely destroy the pet's quality of life.... this is not to say that you shouldn't treat a pet for other things.

I have dreams about me being pregnant the whole time which is crazy because I'm underage and a virgin .. Also if there's someone I like he always creeps into my dreams as well .. I also have 'regret' dreams which leave me quite upset .. We all have regrets and we all have strange dreams .. I don't think it's anything to worry about x

When I was younger I'd have these recurring dreams of me stealing a car. And it would always begin with opening credits: "Starring Bobby!"

I'm either going to be an actor or steal a lot of cars...
