I never understood why they say you cannot dream in color. I have all my life. As far as meaning, I think you have a good 2008 comming to you and yours.

Birds usually represent freedom, happiness, and merriment since they are beautiful singing creatures! Im guessing this dream was more about freedom since this canary was not caged and free to fly to you.
The color yellow usually represents your mental body or intellect.
Therefore putting these together... I'm going to say that your are very at ease mentally and under very little stress. It sounds like this was a dream of celebrating joy and life!

Although the color has no meaning the canary does. To see a canary in your dream, represents happiness and harmony.

Well, the color yellow is happy. And a bird flies around freely. So, possibly you will do something you've never done before and it will turn out okay.
