As a child I had a dream about a major disaster ( a flood) that would happen in the area that I am from. Before this happened particular people and items would be seen in the area, recently I have seen these things and events that that seem to indicate that the dream will come through.....

ppl i know at park w/ me. there was a bridge over water. first It didn't frighten me & felt safe. I was supp. to go on a boat with a family friend. I got scared because at the end of the bridge was a gap and I was too afraid to jump over it. I turned around to go back, I saw now the bridge was narrow and very high up from the water. I have a big fear of heights, and in the dream, I became so scared I started to crawl. I slipped, and my legs fell over the side of the bridge. As I struggled to hold on, I called out my best friends name,Julia. When I did, she pulled me up by my hand and I was safe.eventually I was once again on the bridge and it was arch shaped, I tried crawling on my stomach over the highest part. On other side was a guy I don't speak to I was scared & told him to go back down so I could go by,it was so narrow, he laughed and started shaking the bridge. It started to fall apart & i fell. But when I fell it was like 3 feet and the water was very shallow. interpret?

My husband keeps having these episodes when he's asleep at night - he's had it maybe 4 or 5 times in the past few months. He says he sees a bright light and he is trying to yell for me but I can't hear him. He says his body is bent backwards and he can't move. I think he's having some kind of crazy dream, but he swears he's awake and it's some kind of seizure. Yet, they're very infrequent and never happen anytime except the middle of the night. Also, he dreams or hallucinates weird things during these attacks, like he's floating or I'm walking around the room when really I'm asleep. And last night when he "woke up" from one of these, he had a headache. I'm reposting this question because of the site being down earlier. Has anyone heard of this?

Well sometimes my dreams come true. i dont mean it in a fairytale way but whenever I dream at night, sometime in my life that dream comes true. For example I am in 6th grade at a new school. But over the summer vacation I had a dream about a class doing work in groups of 5. I could see some of the faces but the rest were blurry. Then a week ago I was walking into my 4th period class and they were all in groups of 5 in the same order I had it in in my dream. Is there a name for this strange thing that's happening to me. Please Help. I told some people I know and this may seem too crazy but they had a slight feeling i was psychic. Crazy Right? I know! But is there a name for this?I really need to know.

After a year of on-and-off visits to this forum, the light bulb finally went on for me....

After reading a response - a simple one line reply to a question - from one of the more notorious of these sorts, it all suddenly became clear. He simply replied that women were at their best as housewives.

So...do I have a correct understanding? Are those of you who hate feminism really just unhappy with women who push to do more for themselves and you? I realize there is much discussion of hypocricy and the like, but doesn't it all just boil down to wanting your women to be at home, providing you with creature comforts, taking care of the kids?

You know, wanting those things are fine - and there are plenty of women out there who want exactly the same things for themselves. Perhaps you should spend more time finding one of them than bashing those who don't want to be squeezed into that box...

I don't like crowded, confined places. I only go to the mall when I know it's going to be fairly empty, otherwise I get so much anxiety that I get sick. I don't go to certain stores because they're always crowded. I stand up on the subway because I'm eager to get off as soon as possible. I can't ride the subway if it's crowded and if it's going to be a long ride. Airplanes are hell. I also don't like it when people touch me. I can be affectionate but I'm not a touchy feely person. It really bothers me when strangers are too close to me or if they are touching me.

You can understand and relate to most people better if you look at them -- no matter how old or impressive they may be -- as if they are children. For most of us never really grow up or mature all that much -- we simply grow taller and learn how to hide better. We laugh less, play less and wear uncomfortable disguises like adults, but beneath the costume is the child we always are, whose needs are simple, whose daily life is still best described by fairy tales.

Justifiable- or is it one of those university things a person is just supposed to feel laid back about?

I feel intensely irritated by the fact that a girl in my class couldn't be bothered to study and just because we were in the same science practical group, decided it would be ok to copy down the answers from my calculations without doing any herself. She later comes up to me to ask me how I got my answers - the method was on the worksheet she shoved in my face. I can't understand why she couldn't be bothered to read it. Am I missing something here? Was I stupid to let her copy from my answers? Do I have to hide my work in order to avoid awkward situations. Sounds ridiculous.

I love my sociology class called Social Inequality which examines majority v.s. minority relations and also ethnic and race relations. I am interested in learning more about this field of study but I don't know which of the two degrees would best suit me and while I not exactly 100% sure of what I want to do in life I think I want to do some type of work that is community based. I will also be graduating with an A.S. in human services in Jan. and so it is also important that the program I choose accepts most of my credits from my A.S. degree. So which degree do you think would be best for me to pursue? thanks for your help!!

Would you agree that these days men are getting more and mo irresponsible and childish compared to the earlier generation of men.
Its all abt playstations/music etc, less abt jobs/security/maturity
hence younger women marry men who are way older cos theiragemates just dont cut it.

Oh, no saying it depends on the guy...give a percentage of agreeing/disagreeing with the above.
Am speaking from experience, met many immature men from 23-30yrs if age..

By stranger I mean some one you don't know.
Might it be walking home alone at night? Or perhaps when one stares at you in line at the grocery store?
In answering please also explain why you feel threatened.
Is it because of experience? Is it because of another's experience? Is it because of a story/article you read?

I had a dream that felt so real. I had woke up and got ready for school like I normally do. Then I drove to school. I thought there was something funny how there was no traffic but I didnt pay any attention. Then I go to my first class and the professor and no one else shows up. I walked around the whole campus and no one is there. I try calling everyone on my cell phone and no one picks up. I turn on the tv and every station is blank same with the radio. Internet still works but nothing has updated since the previous night. I drive for miles and cant find a single living soul. At first I was panicking but then I started to really feel relaxed. I actually enjoyed being along. I was speeding down the streets going over a 100MPH. I would just walk into stores and take what I wanted. I have never felt so at peace with myself my whole life. Then I went back to my apt and fell asleep. I woke up and was like wait was I dreaming? Then I saw my roomates and realized I was.

...and I am freaking out! I am about to go to jail forever! I never kill people in these dreams, it's something I did years before. And usually (but not always) I don't even see the body. Sometimes they are buried, sometimes I have them hidden in my house or another house. What's it all about?
