Agoraphobia
Agoraphobia often starts in late adolescence and early adulthood. Strictly speaking, it means a fear of open spaces. In reality it is often used to refer to a fear of crowded places. People with agoraphobia often experience anxiety, panic and depression.
Common phobias include fears of animals, heights, crowds or social events. People with a phobia may acknowledge that their fear is out of proportion to the true danger or threat, but they cannot control or explain it. If someone does not take steps to overcome a phobia, it can last for years, and can cause considerable disruption to daily life.
Most people have no symptoms until they are faced with their feared situation or object. When they are confronted by this, they have severe symptoms of anxiety. These can be so unpleasant that the person takes elaborate steps to avoid coming into contact with their feared object.
Symptoms of anxiety include:
fast breathing (hyperventilation), which can lead to tingling around the mouth,
being aware of a fast heart beat (palpitations),
a choking sensation,
flushes,
sweating,
feeling faint.

Sounds like claustrophobia. I have problems with all of that too. I have found that flying on a plane is easier if I sit in the front of the plane (1st class if possible). Then, I can't see all the other people and it seems like there are only 8 or so people on the plane with me.
My worst experience was going to Disneyland. It was a nightmare.

im like you.im shy by nature and when in a crowd i get a feeling that everybody's watching me.the best way i've seen to combat this fear is tht when i started doing speeches or play music infront of a crowd.the anxiety now disappeared partly since i sometimes feels like tht whn i dont go out for a long time and have not met people.
its got a lot to do with childhood i think, you should try locate the source.

claustrophobia is the fear of confined or closed end spaces. you have a fear of crowds and people in general. I don't know what kind of phobia that is but it's not claustrophobia.
why don't ya go see a shrink. I sure he or she could tell ya what it's called and maybe help ya get over it.

I have the same symptoms, and was diagnosed as having a panic disorder. The medication I was given (Klonopin aka clonazepam) works wonders. I only need to see the doctor 4 times per year now, since it has been determined that I inherited this--and that it was not triggered by a particular incident in my life.

Not necessarily claustrophobia. Seems to me it's the crowds and other people that you seem to want to avoid. Could be a fear of other people (socialphobia). See a doctor, they'll give you better advice than anyone on here.

perhaps you purely had to get used to driving in a distinctive bus lower back. Seeing because of the fact the different one replaced into lots larger, at once being in the smaller one would be slightly "stunning" for extremely just about all people. (nonetheless some would observe better than others) and according to probability you extremely do not desire to be in super crowds. you may choose smaller communities and according to probability being uncomfortable while human beings circle around you is a completely separate irrational worry that certainly one of them would trip on you or some thing. i dunno....merely my first concepts.

Sounds like claustrophia/social anxiety.
Both caused by society's complexity in modern society.
I was born in D.C. the home of a total wasteland needed of a wash of the filth that grows within it....the evil within it...oh holy hell of sanctus the evil grows deeper in D.C., the meaniest people ever to fornicate the earth.

No, that is not claustrophobia. That is fear of crowds (agoraphobia). I have that too. If you can ride in an elevator (if empty), or enter a cave, for example, you are not claustrophobic. But if a concert makes you crazy -- agoraphobia!

Sounds more like agoraphobia to me. That is the fear of public places, crowded places, and people (mainly strangers). Check in to it.
