My sister just turned 64 and over the last two years has developed a serious attitude problem. We use to be close, but now I can't stand to be around her. She is constantly runing me down & badgering me. This is over the internet. No matter what I say, she has a negative come back on it. We live in different towns. I told her that I am saving all her E-Mails & that she needs help & is sick and that I willl put her in a state hospital if I have to. No matter who she is around she makes them upset & mad. I told her to stay away from me for my own sanity sake. What is wrong with her & why is she having this effect on people. She thinks it is everyone else & not her. No one can stand to be around her any more. What do you do?

just an old wives tale until I tried it last night, I had 3 slices of toast with generous helpings of mature English cheddar on all three of them. During the night I must have had 9 different extremely vivid dreams, I can remember every one of them in detail and each one was completely different from the next. On a normal night I don't remember the dreams very often so I was surprised that it works. If you don't believe me try it yourself. (just make sure you brush your teeth well afterwards )

I'm smart -- like, REALLY SMART, there's a 99.9999% chance I am the smartest person on earth. I've been tested. My I.Q. and retention skills are off the chart.

Some think it's arrogant to talk about how smart you are. However, if I were the tallest person at a party, people would have no problem with me saying, "Hey folk, I'm the tallest guy in the room."

However, if I walked into the same party and said, "Wow, I'm the smartest guy here," there's a good chance I'd be beaten.

So again, I'm wicked smart and I can't help it. I have no explanation as to how it happened. My parents were of just average to above average intelligence. Not me though, I was cursed with full blown genius.

Is there any hope for me? How can I possibly be expected to live in a world full of dolts and without going crazy? Is there a 12-step program for people like me?

Im working in bahrain as a retailer, my boss is an arab, he behaves very rude towards me, they dont respect me at all, they treat me as slave, they think that i have come from a poor background & they scold me for no reason, they dont allow me to even wear any stylish dress because girls wont look at them if i wear them.
Ive finished hell lotta computer courses with a degree too. but i dint find a good job for my studies so i had to work in a place like this, people told me that this is a good place where you can improve your studies and also work, thats why i agreed to work here.
They take lot of work from me, i cannot even walk after i finish working 11hr and go home, im suffering so much, i cannot leave the work also because ive gotta work 2 years for them as ive already signed a contract, & i dont have the guts to speak against these kind of things.
Im sure if my parents come to know that im suffering they would kill my boss & his brother & father who are very rude towards me.

I realized a pattern that occurs when people answer questions. People give thumbs up and down not based on whether the answer is true or not, but rather on whether they WANT that answer to be true or not.

For instance, if I ask "Why are many people selfish"? (which is true), people would answer saying "hey I'm not selfish." Well, no sh*t, I didn't address you, I said "many." In any case, people will give that person thumbs up, and anyone who offers an genuine explanation thumbs down. The latter happens because people don't WANT to believe that it's true that many people are selfish, and by offering a sort of an explanation, the person who answered recognized the idea that many people are selfish as a truth (so they give him thumbs down). Well, I asked why are MOST women in the US golddigers. Then I got answers that said "have you ever even been to the US?" And they get thumbs up. But, I live in the US. How ironic?

I was wondering what motivation do developed nations have in helping developing countries? Why should they pour billions of dollars in aid when that money could be spent on enriching their own people?

That only in movies, books and fiction life is beautiful;
that in reality everything is uglier and boring;
that is a lot easier to find beauty in a picture than in the place the picture was took;
that every plan you make for life has to be so beaten up by realistic considerations that drains out his joy;
that people are usually so nasty and dull that at most of the time is better to stay alone?
that watch a good movie is better than live a real history;
does anyone else think like that?

P.S.: I am not a sad depressed fat kid who needs psychological help.
I have a normal life and I do have my happy moments too.

Ok I'm a 20 year old male who has never had a sip of alcohol in my life. I am the only one in my family that doesn't drink. Although I'm very curious, I feel like I would lose my dignity if I have ever tried it, as I have gone so long w/o ever trying it. Idk why this is, but I have a very very strong superego/conscience and have never done anything that bad in my life. As a result, I miss out on a lot in life, including having no social life and never having a girlfriend. But anyway, why would I feel this guilty if I just tried it once? Thanks in advance.
