Social Science - 11 September 2007

I keep having one over and over where I can't really remember the beginning, but I get in trouble and then I'm on the planet Xyphis, on a giant red cliff sorrounded by sand dunes forever, sand then this reptile guy gives me a magic card and suddenly I can go anywhere I want instantly! Then he shows me a tunnel that takes me back to earth, and suddenly I own this giant pyramid shaped restaraunt in the harbor, and I'm super rich, and I can go around the world with the magic card! But then suddenly my mom finds me and says I have to go to school, so I try to use the card to go back to xyphis but all I can do is kinda see it, and then the card stops working! Then the cops come to take me back to school and it really sucks and then I wake up!

Sorry that I rambled on about somthing that you probably didn't even read, but what's YOUR strangest (or coolest!) dream?

As many of you know, today is the grieving day of many Americans.. 9-11.. Anyways, my brother was sadly killed in this disaster and today in school on the intercom our principal required every teacher to allow us to have a moment of silence. Remembering the hurtful day, I bowed my head and my teacher told me to not waste my time because I was there for school not for religion. This hurt me, and also the fact many other students in my class who wanted to.. Should I report him to the superintendent?

In all love stories, the man falls madly in love with the woman, and the woman thinks she's too good for him. Then he has to prove himself and finally she gives in. Also, in love stories where the lovers are separated by class, the woman is always of a higher class than the man. Yet I don't find this to be a particularly accurate description of real life. I'm only in high school, so the guys haven't quite matured, but it seems like they always take advantage of girls, and I can just imagine them comparing later about who they screwed. Why would they use the same cliche in stories for something that is not even true in real life?

because of my sensitive, gentle nature? i get very angry at this.....plus years ago, when i was bullied, i let it happen to me, and never stuck up for myself, struggled with assertiveness, and now, as a 30 year old adult i feel bad and inadequete about it...because i never stood my ground and was assertive..

now i have very little confidence...i have bpd....waiting for therapy...
can anyone advise or relate?

Please help me! I am 13 years old and have panic attacks. you cannot relate if you have never had them trust me they make life miserable( when you have them at least when you dont have them life seems normal kinda.....not really...well look it up!) anyway i need help i am terrified to go to school cause i have had 2 panic attacks in school in the past week i need help and please dont suggest , medicane, deep breathing ( i have that) or counsiling....i have a "panic attack" folder i will take with me to school (i just made it up today) and it has some remedies i just need help! Oh and the main cause of my panic attack are because i am scared...no TERRIFIED of throwiing up every time i get a belly ache i freak out and have a panic attack so if you can relate please please please PLEASE (!!!) tell me what works for you! Like people who have a split brain, i can separate the two halves of my mind to complete to different tasks. for example, i can write my first name down with my right hand while writting my last name with me left. or switch it up to anything else, a picture and words, 2 totally different pictures, whatever. i've tried to look it up online, but all the information i find is about that ability in epilepsy patients. what could be a possible reason that i have this ability, and not an actual split-brain?

any ideas? could it be genetics?

I was visiting a temple in Korea and I liked a guy there and went to visit several times afters. I liked a guy that I saw at an airport while we were waiting for a flight. I liked a guy that worked at a hotel that I was staying at for business. In the end, I always leave and then soon afters, I outgrow these guys b/c I venture on new experiences & travels and their lives seem so dull, mundane and routine. Is there something wrong w/me?

Why is it that people who have real serious problems seem to be living life better than those who don't have serious problems? I'm not saying the people with the serious problems should dwell on their problems but what gives them the courage to make it? Ok here's the deal my Father had a dream that he was in the house and he woke up really scared but in his dream he said the angel of death had come for him and he told the angel of death that he didn't want to go with him and the angel of death was waiting for him in a nice big carrige to take him...so yeah thats the dream...Does that mean my Father is gunna die? It has been 3 weeks since a close relative has passed away, and I feel guilty for not thinking of this person as much as I used to. I love this person very much and life will be very different with her gone, but why do I only think of her every once and a while. Is it part of the healing process or is it a cruel human trait to forget someone so soon?

Last night i had a really weird dream. I was laying on my chest on a what i think was some sort of operating chair at a 45 degree angle.

On my back there was a doctor operating on me. He was doing something with a knife or scalpel on my neck, shoulder, middle of the back and lower back.

I was sedated but not unconsisous cause i remember talking to him during the time he was operating on me. I also remember feeling pressure from the scalpel on the back of my neck, like if he was scratching me.

Anyway after the procedure, i remember watching my back in the mirror to saw that i had 4 horizontal stiches on my neck, shoulder, back and lower back.

Any ideas what could that mean, i know it's really weird.
