because of my sensitive, gentle nature? i get very angry at this.....plus years ago, when i was bullied, i let it happen to me, and never stuck up for myself, struggled with assertiveness, and now, as a 30 year old adult i feel bad and inadequete about it...because i never stood my ground and was assertive..

now i have very little confidence...i have bpd....waiting for therapy...
can anyone advise or relate?

Love who you are. Don't worry about what other people say. Being sensitive is a very wonderful trait :) Seek God with all your heart and your problems will disappear :)

People can be so cold, rude, ---insert various other adjectives as you see fit---
If it helps any, I find effeminate men delightful. I've had them as friends & as lovers. I find them to be intelligent, as a rule, empathetic, and usually physically attractive.
As far as these nim-rods' ill chosen attempts at humor (I'm being gracious here) I have found that making a joke of it often deflects their antagonism. Stick out your chin (like you're making a square jaw), make a really fake low "masculine" voice & say something smart-***--or do the opposite and ask if they're asking you out on a date--something to that effect. Making a joke of it de-fuses the situation rather than being confrontational & escalating things. Hope it helps & please keep your charming self just as you are (without the huge ups & downs of bi-polar of course)

Take your big fist and knock em out ...not really, but they can push you to it...laff at them and yourself...tell them it is a free world and think what they want...and then tell them, that you forgive them..then avoid them..you walk away like the champ...and they just sit there and go on and insult the next one.

i can't relate b/c i've always been aggressive, where is your family, have you discuss this w/them? its never too late to stand up for yourself when the time comes.

Didn't your parents ever teach you to stand up for yourself or tell youdon't take anyone's ****?
