We have a dream interpretation book but there aren't any references to the spider actually trying to kill you. The closest to this refers to a large spider confronting you. " ...signifies that your elevation to good fortune will be swift, unless you are in dangerous contact." If the spider was a tarantula, seeing one in a dream signifies " that enemies are about to overwhelm you with loss." When dreams refer to good fortune it doesn't necessarily mean fortune as in money.
