Initially I might be attracted to his looks, but to hold my interest he would have to be intelligent (or at least be open to learning new things and having "deep" conversations), passionate, kind, honest, spiritual, sociable, sensitive, expressive, open-minded, sexual, liberal, emotionally stable and secure, compassionate, non-judgmental, creative, humble (but confident), loving, trustworthy and loyal. That's my idea of an "ideal man." I'd like to be with someone I can be friends with (not just lovers)...someone I'm compatible with in the areas I think are important...opposites may initially attract, but for me, those relationships never work out in the long run. I want someone who is a kindred spirit.
Tall order, I know...lol....! But after the failure of a ten year long marriage, I've decided that If I want to be with a man long-term, he's got to have those traits....if not, I'd be happier being single!

My guy attracted me (before I met him in person) since he was: articulate, funny, intelligent, down-to-earth, assertive, mature, willing to be silly, sensual, and extroverted.
