I'm a big fan of Wikipedia, it's my main page and I've spent hours and hours reading articles. I was reading about Wikipedia in the article Wikipedia when I read this:

"In a study of Wikipedia as a community, economics Ph.D. student Andrea Ciffolilli argued that the low transaction costs of participating in wiki software create a catalyst for collaborative development, and that a "creative construction" approach encourages participation."

So that got me thinking, intellectual constructs are a form of wealth, just think of all the intellectual copyrights out there. But how do you measure the wealth and intellectual property generated from a project that's never been sold? How much richer is the world and each individual when they benefit from an Open-source project?

I was in my house and saw these large yellow-jacket / bee/ dragonfly insect heading right toward me in the house and I was trying to mumble a prayer but it was futile. The only thing I could do, now that these insects were kamikazying straight at me was to say "In the name of God" with uplifted hands. When I said that the bee/dragon fly just dropped at my feet, fluttering it's transparent wings. Others were coming and I just held that stance and they all dropped to the floor fluttering. Next thing I knew I was at my place of work and I saw a swarm of these creatures coming like locusts so I decided that it worked for me at home, should work for me again. I lifted my arms and shouted as I did the first time. All my colleagues were ducking and covering their heads while I stood and watch them drop down to the ground again. Any serious ideas? Thanks.

I tink mine is black, because i come across as a not so outgoing person but when people get to know me I have a very intense personality which is quite deep just like the colour.

I have recently suffered the loss of a loved-one; two of my (grown) children just smashed up ones car, and are suffering with injuries; my friends and other relatives all live thousands of miles away, and I'm having such a rough time dealing with all of it, I think that I may be imposing upon acquaintances whom I hardly know...just to try to cheer myself up.
BTW, I did speak to a doctor and a therapist, and am taking medication for severe, cronic anxiety. Any help appreciated....

But, when I was being graded for Karate only days ago, a girl of 15 smacked the sensai in the groin. As she was a higher belt than me, I had to wait on the sides for all the higher belts to finish their gradings. As this happened, I heard from the audience behind me - many women (only) laughing and mocking the sensai for not wearing adequate protection (this move was not part of her training, thus effectively she cheated).
When she came to the side - her mom asked "Did you get him where it hurts" in a very smug fashion, and they laughed about it as if it were just a comical scenario.
As I was still in attendance and not just a viewer, I was unable to say anything - but it reminded me of all the claims that women don't take amusement...
So, we see often in our daily lives women laughing & tittering when men are sexually assaulted - they get asked and they deny it - then we see it again the next day...

Why lie about it?

I'm a girl. I've felt this way since I was young, and I'm not really sure why. All of my guy friends are younger than me, and I don't have any that are older than me (ZERO). I always feel like older guys aren't really interested in being my friend (from the beginning, when we meet), even if they are friendly. Somehow I never end up having a friendship with them...?

I feel like I have an inferiority complex kinda problem when it comes to older guys. Is there anyway I can stop myself from feeling this way???
I don't really act on it anymore (it's taken quite a bit of work). I'm very friendly to older guys and younger guys. But I still always feel like the older guys aren't really interested, even if they act like they are. Why do I feel this way???

ie they accuse of lying about where your from, your ethnic background etc..

i was born in south france, came to the uk at 6, iam native indian heritage to.
but because of my light skin and blue eyes i don't look it.
however alot of brits here doubt me when i teel them iam not british, they doubt me and accuse me of lying about my native american heritage...iam deeply offended and get very angry and dont no how to respond to these people.
can anyone suggest a way to deal with it?

At what age should I get married?
Question Details: My boyfriend proposed to me in front of my parents. I said yes cause I love him & I'm sure he's the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. He's respectful, he loves me, he cares for me and he accepts me for who I am. Hes 24 and I just turned 16. He told me he would wait for me. I live in Puerto Rico.

* My parents think I should wait until I finish college here in PR.
* I want to get married after highschool but not have kids(i would be 17 about to turn 18). That way me and my boyfriend could come to study in the US (he wants to study special effects for movies, he already studied here music engineer and has a small recording studio)
* My boyfriend thinks I should start my first year of college here, then go to the US with him and finish, and get married after I turn 18 on October 31, 2009. He really wants that to be our wedding date cause he thinks is perfect for the gothic wedding we are planning.

She is always mean to me, she cusses at me and calls me really nasty things, slaps me, and tells me to move out! I'm only 14, and I can't stand her split personalities! Like at Church, she is like nice, and sweet, and friendly. She always puts her arm around me like she cares, and all of my friends think she is so great! I don't know what to do! She tells me that my 3.5 GPA doesn't matter, and I'll never be successful as she is! She is only a Respiratory Therapist, and she doesn't even go to work anymore. She thinks she's so much better than everyone, because she has a nice car, and she trach talks everyone. And she thinks everyone is jealous of her. She even tells me that I'm short, and I'm 5'9, and she's 5'6! I can't even stand being with her anymore! Do you have any advice for me? Thanks.

Ok i need advice I was on the dr phil website today and noticed he was doing a show on complusive liars so I wrote in telling them my story and they contacted me back today amazingly and I dont know if I should do it now. Im a complusive liar Ive tried everything from admitted myself into a hospital to going to 3 different doctors once a week and this is my last resort. I dont want to be embrassed and I dont want people to throw stones at me instead of being supportive aka family and friends. Im doing this for marriage and my kids but I dont know if its the right way to go....
