My children have recently left home and I am in a transition phase. Any insights into support groups or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi. I really feel for you. It must be tough and its not something I look forward to at all... first day of school was tough enough. Although I was upset when they first went to school and 'mourned' for about a week, I quickly discovered there are certain joys to it (shopping alone being a major one). My point is that after you have 'mourned' the loss of that particular stage of your and your childrens life, it's time to start something new!
Book clubs are great. You could even start one of your own as you have no interruptions now!
You could volunteer. Take up something new. All that money you are saving on food you should redirect into something really pleasurable for yourself. Get an expensive haircut! Go away for the weekend to a spa! Treat yourself - you have just raised human beings! You deserve it!
Write a book, watch all those movies youve missed, paint something, redecorate...
I hope you find the support group you are after. Here's a thought... why dont YOU start one?
All the best to you. I hope you enjoy your time!

Enjoy it while it lasts. So many get out there and decide its easier to come back home. And cheaper. Redecorate and make a sanctuary for yourself.
