I'm a girl. I've felt this way since I was young, and I'm not really sure why. All of my guy friends are younger than me, and I don't have any that are older than me (ZERO). I always feel like older guys aren't really interested in being my friend (from the beginning, when we meet), even if they are friendly. Somehow I never end up having a friendship with them...?
I feel like I have an inferiority complex kinda problem when it comes to older guys. Is there anyway I can stop myself from feeling this way???
I don't really act on it anymore (it's taken quite a bit of work). I'm very friendly to older guys and younger guys. But I still always feel like the older guys aren't really interested, even if they act like they are. Why do I feel this way???

I'm 19 years old. And it's not WAY older guys that I want attention from... like maybe a year or two or three.
I just want FRIENDSHIP attention. I'm not being flirty with them.
Also, I don't ignore anybody. I feel like I'm just as friendly to older guys and younger guys. But I feel like they can sense my unease with them, and are therefore less interested...?? I don't know.

I don't think there really uninterested in you... Its just that they can sense your uneasiness around them and they feel pushed away or like you don't really want to talk to them... Forgot about them being older and just think of them as one of your younger guy friends...

you obviously like attention (from every1) since the younger kids give it to you, you dont really care or worry
but since you dont get any from the older guys you crave for it
most girls are like that its normal to feel that way
i have a friend who was liked by this nerd he showed her alot of attention..and she would always push him away but after he stoped she kinda missed the attention the nerd gave her

There will come a time when age will not be a factor
as long as its legal, don't worry about such things

I don't know how old you are, but it may be that you look or seem young, and it could be dangerous for them to become involved.
