I think I just had an epiphany and noticed that only people with low intelligence complain about other people. They have nothing better to do but complain and whine about how people mistreat them. What does everyone else think?

I read an interesting quote by Eleanor Roosevelt:

"Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people."

Does it give them a feeling of greater empowerment, or for a sweeter revenge ?

Besides, there are other effective targets like the eyes, nose, throat, kneecap, and instep.

I personally think it's especially vicious !!

It's obviously unfair !

And I believe it should not be taught to or used by any female under any circumstances !!!

mysophobia is the morbid fear of dirt or contamination.

I think that restaurants (the place where one can never be sure about how the food was made or if the dishes are really clean) can be frustrating for people with such a phobia.

If you are mysophobic or think you can relate to such a phobia, i would like to know what worries you have when you go to a restaurant. Do you have any habits to get around these worries?

For example, i know that i sometimes fear that the restaurant mugs are contaminated and so i sip from the side of the mug that a left-handed person sips from, thinking that less mouths would have touched this side.

How about you?

My younger brother was killed in a car accident on August 25th of this year. He was driving, and when the tires hit the shoulder he overcorrected and the car rolled several times...his seat belt broke and he was thrown through the windshield. He died instantly. He was only 18. I've never lost someone so close to me...there was so very much I didn't get to tell him...I just want to know....does the pain ever get easier to handle? I know I will never stop hurting...he was my only brother. I'm just hoping that someday the pain will be less sharp, less intense....or will it always hurt like this? Will I always cry at night? Help!

so...im moving to poland

currently $1 = 2.75 zlotys (polish currency)

so is that a good thing or a bad thing?
im so horrible at math.
i really need to get this stuff figured out.

so, if a movie ticket in poland cost 15 zlotys, that would only be like $4.50 right?

and when i go to exchange my money....which would be better, doing it here in the US or there in poland?

Is it the family law of today that makes them believe they have a god given right to have full custody of children and push the father out of the childrens life or to be just a visitor.

Or is it something else

I know it is part of history, and it is still upsetting, but is anyone else online as awestruck by the images of that horrible day as I am? It's like I want to see it over, and over again so as not to forget how sad, angry, and appalled that someone do this to anyone. I was watching the "Today Show" when it happened, and I could not pull myself away from the television hardly at all that week. My husband worried about me being so upset, and not sleeping that whole week, because I am a "Multiple Sclerosis" patient, but I just could not turn it off. As I write this I am watching the replay of 9/11on MSNBC, and it still sends chills all over me!:( "Will you all share your thoughts tonight"?

She has served her time for shooting her abusive husband and now her in-laws are trying to keep her from getting back custody of her three daughters. I think that this is an outrage and her husbands parents are even trying to keep Mary from appearing on Opra tomorrow claiming that it would make finding an impartial jury difficult. I think that her inlaws should just butt out and that she should get her daughters back. It isn't their business and it's her right.

I had a dream in which I was walking on water. It was sea water and the water was black in color. I was walking toward the seashore and my family on the shore were calling me and telling me to hurry. I was within a feet to the seashore when a big black wave stood infront of me blocking me from reaching the land. Then I woke up!

Since I was little, my parents always put me down, underestimating me, and thus ruining my self-esteem. when I was little, I never had self confidence, thus I was always very shy and unable to speak up. But recently, it has gotten a LOT worse---I'm 16 now. Whenever I am in school, I feel like something is wrong with me, and I'm not good enough for others or that people are judging me. I always feel like I am being watched, and I can't even speak up in class. I think my grades are even dropping because of low self esteem. What do I do?

When I was little my parents had always said things like, "Maybe you're not as 'bright' as some people, but you might be able to succeed." Statements like these just made me stop trying thinking I would never succeed. My parents aren't bad--they can be very supportive in times of crisis, but they always underestimate me. How can I change my attitude?

Hawains most likely came from Polynesia. I'd bet many, many groups went out on rafts like Kon-tiki and sailed eastward. Thousands starved in the middle of the Pacific. A small percentage of lucky ones found Hawaii. The odds seem high to me that a few hundred lucky ones also shored up in Chilie or Peru. If fact I'd find it hard to believe that hawaii was the only land which they found.
