1) who protects our economic rights?(i am thinking the answer is the government, but i dont know how to go in further)

1. I don't clearly know what economic rights are. I know we have federal and state laws and city, I believe they call them, ordinances etc. Of course their are rights groups, unions, organizations and advocates.
2. Standard of living from: Capitalism. People's greed encouraged" Innovations, probably from more free exchange of ideas and different cultures. We put a ridiculous emphasis on science and technology and recruit talent from around the world, although I suspect all countries do that. Perhaps we keep some sort of balance with so much emphasis on freedom of thought, less of a class system and strong emphasis on patriotism, Christian giving, but a lot of 'your on your own' mentality too. I hope those things are right and fairly complete.
Who knows.
3. Property mostly, although I believe it's an assault and charges are breaking and entering, theft, grand and petty and it seems an awful lot more seem to get dragged in, if desired by prosecutors. Hm. That does me in.
