I know it is part of history, and it is still upsetting, but is anyone else online as awestruck by the images of that horrible day as I am? It's like I want to see it over, and over again so as not to forget how sad, angry, and appalled that someone do this to anyone. I was watching the "Today Show" when it happened, and I could not pull myself away from the television hardly at all that week. My husband worried about me being so upset, and not sleeping that whole week, because I am a "Multiple Sclerosis" patient, but I just could not turn it off. As I write this I am watching the replay of 9/11on MSNBC, and it still sends chills all over me!:( "Will you all share your thoughts tonight"?

As time goes on the images began to fade. But seeing them all over the tv once again brought back alot.

Uniting the country with another disaster? It's true that the unity the country had post 9-11 did not survive the next graduating class. I used to think the same thing with regard to another disaster getting our eye back on the ball but, I have changed my mind about that. We have had some disasters since then and it didn't help. Katrina, 7-7 in London and now a bridge collapse. In each case, the partisans jumped at the opportunity to launch a new volley of finger pointing blame games peppered with wild, irrational, irresponsible, disrespectful, illogical, hurtfull, waste-full postulations and accusations. What an embarrassment! We have played right into the hands of our adversaries proving that they know us better than we know them. Their strategy of divide and conquer learned from our own revolution and Viet Nam has worked like a charm and we are losing. Every single media outlet, not only Fox, and the Internet has turned this into a cash cow and we eat it up. We don't deserve the liberty we have. We have been philosophically vanquished and we should just find out what they want and do what we're told or life as we know it will change forever.

I was in Canada on 9/11, my best friend came and dragged me out of the stable and told me you HAVE to come...NOW!

I stood watching the events on CNN in total disbelief. The first words out of my mouth were "it's Bin Laden or Hussien".

When I am in Canada I live on an Indian Reservation, we Mohawks are known far and wide for the work we do on high rises and bridges. We rallied all our Steel Workers that were at home that day, we got them a Police Escort to the Border. There were about 150 of them that immediately took off for NYC.

All air traffic was being landed in Canada, It was heart warming to see Canadians coming to the aid of the US!

I still find it hard to believe that this actually happened, and yesterday I took time out at the time when the planes hit the Towers and said a small prayer for all the victims.

We will NEVER forget!

it stirs up strong emotions in me as well. a lot of it is still hate. hate for anyone who would do crap like this. i'm in the army and i was in germany training when i was told. all training was stopped and everyone was gathered and told. there were people freaking out cause they were from ny, but we had no access to telephones or a tv or radios. when we got back to or base, there were tanks and stuff at or entrance points. it was crazy and reality sat in. six yrs since that tragic day. i lost no loved one there. i have not lost a friend to iraq or afghanistan. i am thankful for this. my sentiments for those whose lives were affected.

Every one of us has a right to have our own reaction to the tragedy like this one. I personally have caught myself teary eyed time and again today... It was a senseless tragedy, and we should do everything we possibly can to prevent it ever happening again.
