I graduated from highschool on Tuesday night. It had been announced to everyone at my church. A lot of people congratulated me, but the few people who I had been real close to never even acknowledged my achievement. Well...I also had a graduation party today, and those certain people didn't even show up! It was announced to everyone, so that means that everyone is invited! They knew about it. One of them had the nerve to say that she was too big for parties. Yea right! This was a GRADUATION party! What is the real deal with these certain people?

Our love flows like a river of blood,
rushing through my viens,
a daggar of words pierces the artery,
ripping the passion into a fiery inferno of pain and sorrow,
our lives drip away,
as the dizziness and confusion take over,
why did this happen?
what went wrong?
never before has our love faded,
is this the end?
my world dims, as emptyness soaks into every pore of my heart,
finally my world goes black,
"eternity"flashes before my eyes,
so much shorter then i had expected,
"forever"in the blink of an eye,
did it even mean anything?
all emotions run through my mind,
yet i feel nothing,
i am completly numb,
yet fully alive,
is this the true meaning of hell?

we admire society much.. we treat ourselves as good as society idealization. society believes that if you graduate fast, it means you are smart.. if you have tall, slim body, white skin and blabla it means you are beautiful, doctor is better than a poet..rich is the best choice etc. it seems that we never get our chance to choose our life. everything has formed well..if your father is a doctor so u must be a doctor..is true that we just a society anomaly? because our life is not about ourselves but society illusion..

More then once now I have dreamed of a girl that I have never ment before. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen and I just think about her and I am filled with joy. In my dreams we never speak....we just hold each other...have fun....like childhood friends......I remember laying in the sun with her on a rock in the middle of a river....I remember watching the sun set in Hawaii on the edge of a cliff (I've never been to Hawaii) I remember falling asleep with her on the roof of her house while we watched the stars and the moon come up. I remember what she looks like. I feel like I've known her all my life....but I don't even know if she's real...... is it possible for someone to have a connection with there soulmate like this? How can I find her?

I don't hate life because I am depressed, or suicidal. I hate life because of things that go on in todays world. I feel like I am living in a world that is doomed. Also, to think, there are such talks about nuclear wars and such that could whipe us out in a matter of minutes which freaks me out beyond belief. Sometimes I think it would have been better if I was never born in this millenium!

In my family when I was growing up (2 males, 2 females), we all shared a toilet, and my dad and brother put the seat where they wanted (usually up) and mum and I put it where we wanted (down). No issues, no problems.

After I became an adult, I discovered from television and so on that there was like this whole culture of jokes etc based around men not putting the toilet seat down, as if it was something they had done "wrong".

Is there any actual logic behind this idea, and in the real world, do real women care where their toilet seat goes? If so, how on earth does it trouble you?

And where/when did this idea start? Is it an American thing, an urban thing, or a 90s thing?

In which direction do you think the labor supply and demand shifted? Explain your reasoning.

Most people on Y!A are kind and compassionate; some are silly and not very bright, but still well meaning; but there are others who seem intent on making someone miserable every day. Why? Isn't life hard enough without making it harder?
And it's not just here. I have a neighbor like that. No one in the neighborhood speaks to her any more, so she seems to have decided to take out all her anger and hatred on my dog and me. (I'm very careful to protect my dog from her).
Why wouldn't a person want to try to feel better instead of making someone else unhappy? Do we have some kind of primal streak of sadism in us that just manifests itself more strongly in some people than in others? Or is it something in the culture? I just don't get it. Do you?
Please don't be rude. I could really use a kind word just now.

Someone pointed out earlier tthat we have son many stupid, pointless, moronic, outdated stereotypes: Women are supposed to attain the superwoman/domestic goddess eternal sex kitten role while men have their equivalent unobtainable expectations of Uber manhood superdad /husband /lover .

Why don't we all get over it and learn to be ourselves? Plus quit all the sexist gender bullying on all sides? It's moronic. Anyone with me?
