First off... couple of corrections anything that one acquires as a result of theft is not free. Everything has a cost... second there is nothing sterile in any hotel room. I worked for a major hotel chain and i will tell you that you really dont want to know how disgusting any and all linens in hotels are.

Maybe towel Jagger's cant afford a towel after paying for the hotel, but people sometimes don't care were it was before!

Because they are free. Plus a lot of people get a thrill out of stealing something but not everyone is brave enough to take something major, so they steal little thing knowing they won't really get in trouble for it.

Never thought of that, but they are cleaned. We've never intentionally stole towels, but we did accidentally take them to the pool then leave them in the car on our way home. They're nice towels.

simply said people really don't think into things.
we live in a world where alot of people want things given to them and feel like they can take it freely.
i can guarantee something ridiculous like this went through their minds, "we payed a crap-load for this room, so heck, we might as well take some towels."
yep, people suck.

They are sterilized and cleaned, and they're too cheap to buy their own.
