I don't know how old you are. It could be an illness, possibly a learning disability, and it could come from a neurological disorder. Best to go to a doctor and have it checked out.

It could be, but probably not. You may be suffering from something called Asperger syndrome. It's a mild form of autism. Or, you may be a right-hemisphere visual thinker. The reason for forgetting things could be that you are trying to attached words as a cue to whatever it is you're trying to remember. Right hemisphere thinkers do far better when they associate some visual object or person to whatever it is they hope to later recall. Just some possibilities.
