I have one older sister and one younger brother. As you probably know it is hard to be the middle kid. Well my two siblings were named after gods. My sister a Hindu diety-Agni, and my brother a norse god of war and death-Odin. Guess what my middle name is......ISREAL. My god, are you kidding me what were my parents thinking. I also happen to be the one with the worse brain and life. I seem to be more affected by the abuse of my father than my sister. I am horrible at putt-putt, I cant even ever beat my little brother at it, or bowling. My brother is told to be a genius who can do math in his head. My sister can keep good grades, while I get D's and F's. I have yet to get any friends or especially girlfriend. My brother has multiple friends and girlfriends. My sister even more so. I have only had one nerd friend in my life now I have none. Is this just a coincidence?

I am regularly told by someone very 'close' how self-centered I am. I don't think that overall I have a problem, but in certain areas/situations, his accusations are likely accurate. I do not want to be a bad person, and sometimes I feel that I should feel more concerned about others. What can I do? Can I change this?

I had a 6 month affair with a colleague of my husband's which ended when he found out about it a month ago when he came home a day early to suprise me.He threw the other guy out and proceeded to yell at me for an hour about trust and fidelity. He decided because he loved me too much and didn't want to take the easy way out he wouldn't divorce me and cause me to lose everything. He refuses to go to marriage counselling insisting we can figure this out on our own. He partly blames himself insisting if he hadn't been away so much this wouldn't have happend. He does travel a lot leaving me bored and lonely. It's been 4 weeks and he can barely look at me let alone touch me.He sleeps in one of the guest rooms and although he has cut back on work a lot we barely talk.He used to worship me and now he looks at me like I'm some stranger to him. Will this ever get better?Am I better off leaving? I'd rather be divorced at 27 than spend another 10 years like this. What can I do to make it better?

I am not sad as in 'really sad' but more of feeling like my life could have been better, which I am working so hard to improve daily. BUT, I realised that my power to concentrate diminish significantly when I'm in this state and its as if I am always striving to do something for the future, and that I am NEVER HERE. even when i'm dressing up or putting on lipgloss, my mind is already picturing myself outside the door - and its driving me crazy a bit, because I cant seem to concentrate on the present and enjoy it while its here, though i know thats what i should be doing. what do you think? haha i know i sound like a confused kid but Im 27 and I dont think I should be having this kind of 'baffling' thoughts anymore.

Right now, I feel this burning, churning feeling in the very pit of my stomach. I feel like I could just go crazy right now, and I feel extremely depressed. I feel a strong hate for everybody for some reason, I guess it's because when my friends rely on me, I'm there for them, but when I need them, they are never there. I feel like they're all just using me for advice and it's driving me up the wall. What is that feeling? Hate, hurt, anger? I really don't like it.

Is it wrong to do something entirely for oneself? Not in the sense of for greed or to aquire some ridiculous want, but in the sense of doing something for oneself because one needs to take some time away or one needs to perservere through something to help something work out for the best.

I am a college freshman, and I think I possessed lots of Bad Personalities(BP). I was spoiled by my mum when I was young. Whatever I requested, my mum gave it to me. as a result, I took everything for granted. (BP1) Also, when I was young, my mum was afraid that I did something wrong, so she did everything for me, like prepared all the clothes, food, books I need. as a result, I dont have a lot of experiences to take care of myself.(BP2) as u may noticed, since my mum did everything for me, I "believed" that everything HAS to be right(perfectionism??), if it's not perfect, i dont know what to do(BP3). Like today, I took my driving test and I failed that.(lane violation..LOL) and I sat in my house for like couple hours becuz it's really hard to believe that I failed the test.

Who really is the media and why do we listen to them? In the time of the native americans, size was simply not an issue. You could be the largest man alive and still be given the respect you deserve. You could have a skarred face, but it was okay, because everyone was diferent and diversity was appreciated back then. How has the media come into our society and molded our minds into thinking that that isn't true anymore? I myself am 13, and simply do not understand this. What makes a stick skinny woman any more beautiful than a woman with a little extra flab? And since when did beauty radiate from the outside rather than from within? Since when has the word 'diet' become one of the most searched words on the internet? Since when was starving yourself a solution to anything? How does the media literally brainwash us? If this is what "ideal" is then what hope is left and what has society come to? Walking skeletons, and faces made of plastic? And WHEN is somebody going to STAND UP.

Whether she is hiding under the covers until the lights are down or out, or changing out of sight, "modesty" seems to get in the way of romance and intimacy. Assume that her husband genuinely and frequently tells her good things about her and her body. How does a woman become confident, proud of, and skilled at showing off her body to her husband?
