No, I think that if people want to do this then they can. It is their choice if they decide to do this or not. I say if it were legal it can help stop a lot of guys from raping because they will have a person to go to for sex...even if they have to pay. I also believe that if it were legal men would not brutalize the prostitutes as much because then the prostitute can report it to the police without worrying about being arrested. This is only my opinion....

It's not a choice for me, but it is for others. I wish though that women out there would think it over before deciding this type of job. I would be so afraid of getting a desease from different person I slept with, then again you can get that from anyone and you don't have to be a prostitute to get a desease. The point I am trying to make is that we all have choices and sometimes the choice we make is bad. To each its own.

If by Prostitution, you mean the exchange of sexual favors for personal gain, then I would have to say No. After all, almost all exchanges of sex are for some kind of gain. Girls will have sex because the feel they it is the "reward" for a date, because they want to "be someone's girl", because it gives them a really great feeling (assuming the guy is any good). Women marry and provide sex in exchange for a home and security. The only difference is that some are sanctioned by society and some are not, in essence they are all the same.

prostitution is often indicitive of a desperate society, and that usually means there are underlying issues like povery and such. also if children are being sold by their parents, or if menatlly handicapped people are being prostituted out and taken advantage of, that's not cool.
but ideally, i think it's perfectly fine. people should be able to sleep with whomever they want for whatever reason they want to. (as long as children are not involved, right)

in the UK, 95% of prostitutes are addicted to a drug and solicit themselves to pay for their habit.
the real face of prostitution is not glamorous. it's sad and desperate.
i am no prude, but these things need to be taken into account

No if the woman has chosen that career path. Now, prostituting a young adult by taking advantage of her/his situation is a completely different story.

Well it's good and bad in all things. It's one of the worlds necessary evils that has existed as long as mankind itself. That's why it's called the world's oldest profession!

Sadly a lot of prostitutes are very mentally unstable individuals. And underage. It seems to be a form of exploitation, so it all matters on how willing you are to hurt someone else to help yourself.
