Ok there are 3 paradism in sociology. I'm writing on the strucural- functional. Do you have any examples of "military in that paradism? How do you think that the military might affect your future?

They do ask about you sometimes, but they end up talking the most themselves about THEIR OWN STUFF!
And also, you cannot share emotional things with them,bcoz they have no compassion to hear about it and comfort you.
I wonder why they are like that?

Every day I get this strong urge to check the sports scores, but I'm afraid to do it because if I see a team that I like lose or a team that I hate win, it will distract me for the day. I try to ignore the urge and think about other things, but it keeps coming back because I feel that it will put my mind at ease if I check and the results are the way I wanted. And I have had worse things happen to me, but it hasn't really helped me feel less anxious, as trivial as it sounds. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and what to do about it.

I am doing an assignment for MSTU2003 (maybe there are some people who have gone to University of Queensland) called a Discourse Map. We had to get an article on health and draw a discourse map and then talk about it in 750 words. I thought I knew what i was doing until i actually started writting. It's due monday and i'm totally lost.


Basicially my lecturer has said that: Discourse is "what is said, considered as a social act"...which i don't exactly get. Can anyone explain discourse to me in laymans terms?

I was sitting in the sand with my cell, my laptop and a styrofoam food container when a hobo with a brown bag and backpack walked up to me. In the background I could see a skyline and a bridge. He sat in the sand with me and we talked. I don't remember what he was talking about but it was very interesting. He got up to leave and I told him thanks for stopping by. He said sure. I did the peace sign [not a deuce but like a 70's peace sign] and he stuck out his left hand for me to shake it. I did the same and he injected me with a needle...I was astonished and woke up...

It really scared me...I dunno why but what does it mean?

Today I hit my head, well what happened was I slipped on a shoe and was knocked out when I hit the floor, but I had this weird flashback of my whole entire life... from the day I was born until now in fast motion, It's so deep I never felt this...It was amazing, seriously.

I woke up, about 20 minutes later, and I'm like a whole new person appreciating life again.

Anyways have you guys experienced any flashbacks in your life? And I was wondering also, is it the same as a dream?
