They do ask about you sometimes, but they end up talking the most themselves about THEIR OWN STUFF!
And also, you cannot share emotional things with them, bcoz they have no compassion to hear about it and comfort you.
I wonder why they are like that?

And the same self-centred ppl want ppl to feel with them when they've had a rough patch, so more about themselves.

Stupidity probably as much as anything; certainly social ineptness.

But your problem might be worse if you feel the need to be comforted by others. Better to deal with most of life on your own terms. Having someone say, what you want them to say really doesn't help you at all and gives you a false sense of security.

The ugly ol' nasty truth up in your face to deal with; dealing with it, and then moving on, is better.

Many people like this I know, come from a large family... They were in competition for their parents attention so much that they never grew out of talking about themselves.

Some come from only child homes where they are the only one and there was no need to ask nor care about anyone elses feelings.

Many factors play a role in this.
