Because women deserve EQUAL rights. Anybody who thinks otherwise is a twit. What they do NOT deserve is EXTRA rights; we've already been over this thousands of times. Women should be allowed to write whatever book they please about WHATEVER they please, as long as men are afforded the same right. Women should be allowed to go to universities, as long as they don't get some affirmative action bonus.
It's all very simple.

Even I have a hard time with this. One of my hobbies happens to be writing stories. And I'm for women being educated.

first of all, who is "they"?
second, we have equal rights because we as humans all deserve to have them, thus the term "rights"
and finally i do not think we are "equal" at all...i get to carry a life inside of me and bond with that child in ways you will never be able to.
