The FUTURE if only i could go there now lol.

Yes iam looking forward to the future for a number of reasons.
1. The joy of watching my kids grow up, get married, have kids e.t.c.
2. With how quickly technology is improving, all the gadgets that are yet to come just excites me (I love electrical equipment & games, I eagerly await the day when you can literally plug yourself into a computer like in the matrix).
3. No one know what the future holds yes alot of it will be bad, But there will be a few small things that makes life worth living.

Because we dont know what the future holds it is pointless dreading it, It may never happen!

I dread it.... I still haven't found my path in life. The social problems of personal debt, health care, the increasing gap between the rich and the poor and the way we treat our fellow human beings makes me so sad.

Then there is the question of basic sustainability, the stark reality that we will consume ourselves to death in my lifetime really freaks me out. We are running out of oil, drinking water and democratically elected leaders for the US to overthrow and I fear that Canada is going to become a battleground. We have oil, we have water and we have the northwest passage which the US has already made public that they don't recognize Canada's claim to the land. Our army is thinned out in Afghanistan so we can pretend we support the bullcrap war on terror by fooling Cdns into believing we are doing good.

Experts say that the world in 2050 can not possibly sustain more than 1 billion people due to rising coastlines and expanding deserts and shortages in food, water and resources. The expected population by that time is 9 billion. What the hell are we gonna do about the other 8 billion?

The Hindu call it "Kali Yuga" or something and it means we are coming to the end of a life cycle. The world needs to start new and erase our pathetic history. I just try to enjoy the mountains and the ocean and breathing the clean air while we still have the beauty of nature at our doorstep. I know this is really negative but it is just how I see it.

I look forward to it as the future is continually unfolding before me taking twists and turns I often don't expect. It's like reading a novel, being absorbed in a great play, or riding a roller coaster. What's going to happen next? I could die but then even that causes me to wonder what adventure awaits?

Well when you consider that we will all probably get burnt up from all the UV rays that are getting through what used to be the ozone layer, or the ice bergs melting and causing the earths ocean currents to stop, making a new ice age, or running out of food and resources because of over population, or nuclear war wiping us all out over oil. Well I dont know what to think.

When you take the time to consider all things, one can see that the natural world has the ability to balance itself out. It may take time but it eventually recovers an equilibrium. Life finds a way to survive. There may be hard times ahead for some, but everything is progressing according to natural and physical laws.
