I am from Argentina, and the psychoanalysis is the most popular psychological therapy. I would like to know if psychoanalysis is used in other countries. Tell me where do you live, if the psychoanalysis is used as a therapy, and if it is studied in universities.
Thanks

What little things can get under your skin and make you get easily frustrated and or just suddenly blow up?
why do you think it would make you this angry? and do you try to fix the problems, as they happen, or just let them go?

My six year old son has resently been waking up in the middle of the night. Below are a few things that he does.
He sits up and moves his lips like he's talking to someone.
Gets outta bed and walks to the bathroom like he has to go but just stands there and then walks back to bed.
Sits up and starts crying but doesnt want anyone one to comfort him.
Gets up goes in the bathroom and takes his cloths off, uses a towel to clean him self up and goes back to bed naked. (It's like he thinks he pee'd to bed but never does)

I was married for 14 years. I treated my wife like a queen. I loved her, I provided for her (she didn't have to work) and I kept our home, laundry, house cleaning etc. I hind sight I know I did to much for her. Her on the other hand was terrible to me, she would tell people that I beat her, she told people she ran my business and I really got in her way. She loved to brag on herself and knock me down, she seemed to love that. Her favorite thing to do was to tell friends and family that she was being abused by me, NOTHING could have been further from the truth, quite the opposite, she would tell some that I was cheating on her as well. She finally left me and married the next door neighbor 3 days after our divorce. Needless to say he treats her like crap, my children have told me their is violence between them, yet she never seemed happier. We have a younger son (12) that has said this too...she deny's this goes on and calls him a liar.

Why would she lie about me
and protect him?

I know that most people will shrug it off as waaay to early for labels but this is heartbreaking. He dances like a girl doing the booty popping move (i don't even allow him to watch music videos so I guess he saw it done while at his father's house) and has a constant obsession with putting on my heels. I've taken away most of my daughters dolls and just put them up, (they both have educational toys anyway) because he plays with them more than she does. Everywhere I go he's stuck right under my leg and he cries and whines when he has to do things independently. (Just the other day for example he needed to use the restroom, we were in my mothers 1st grade classroom after school and his younger sister had to escort him to the bathroom and then he came back and begged me to take him because he was afraid... mind you this is in the class).
I don't want to be paranoid but I don't want my child to be "like this".. Please help... what can I do?

I can't quit. I take meds. that make me drowsy and I am constantly nodding off for a few seconds and drop my smoke and wake up just in time to not start a fire but ruin my bedding or clothes. I've ruined sooo many nice things and I'm upset about it but I can't stop smoking indoors. I'm totally addicted.

i have a childhood friend that has progressively gone completely nuts. she truly believes that "they" are listening to every word she says (whispers sometimes so "they" can't hear), thinks there is some "big thing" that everyone is trying to get to and if you are too open with other people they'll get to it first... so she completely socially isolates herself, is convinced that her staph infection (skin problem that causes irritating red spots) is actually bugs in her skin that the government put there because she knows too much about this "thing" and "them", and won't take any medication her doctors give her because she thinks they're brainwashing pills... she has HUGE trust issues. etc etc. she has used various drugs in the past, but does not use anything now. i don't know much about psychology and i'm wondering what diagnosis this might fit under so that i can read up on it a bit... can anyone help?
