By your statement, I would deduce that you are trying to put a stop to this practice for religious reasons. Medically and psychologically speaking, masturbation is a perfectly normal way to release sexual tension especially during the adolescent stage or even beyond.
Its not harmful unless it occupies most of your time and affects your day to day function.

I would suggest you think of masturbation not as something you have to give up but as something you want to give up for your faith. This will take out some of the excitement we usually associate with things that are forbidden. Try involving yourself with other activities that take time and effort like taking up a new hobby, taking up sports so you can provide a channel for your sexual energy. Also avoid situations that may lead you to masturbate, like pornography, reading suggestive statements or frequenting adult chat rooms.

Sexual desire is a natural, biological need and feeling. Almost everyone on the planet masturbates, but they don't talk about it. So there is no reason to feel guilty. You can't stop your sexual urges, so until you find yourself in a safe, fulfilling initimate relationship with someone, I do not recommend trying to stop masturbation entirely. Perhaps reduce the frequency some, but mainly keep it discreet to avoid embarrassment. This is one aspect of a person's life that should be kept private.

Masturbation is not something to "abstain" from especially for ones "faith".Masturbation is the technique that God created for males to use in order to eliminate old sperm from the body. The process is similar to urination which no one seems to have any moral objections to.There is nothing immoral about eliminating waste from your body,to the contrary it must be done. The moral problem occurs when people use pornography to carry out a strictly physical act.
