explain empathy and its meaning

Ok I suffer from Agoraphobia. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be dealt with a little bit easier? I was a waitress my whole life until this hit me about four years ago. I don't understand it, I don't like it. And it is getting harder to deal with everyday. Please this is a serious problem, only serious answers.

I am trying to recover from a very ugly and bad split for a abusive bf.... this happend 2 months ago , i am having weird nightmares last week or so dreams of his harrising me, or trying to control me ...i wake up so stressed out... today i heard a co-worker ( we used to work in sme place ) talk about him .. and stuff like that makes me so scared and amke me want to run away but feel so helpless..... i think i may have a mental break down

i asked a woman leader at the church to pray about depts i have and she said i ought to manage my money better, well i have no washing machine, havent had a holiday in years, have my grandchildren living with me, and walk everywhere, cos i carn,t afford the bus, and i told her she was wrong and moaned at her and about something else, she said oh i have been unemployed. She really wound me up now i feel bad, what should i do, she did say sorry for hurting me though, was she being judgemental

I've been told by a close friend that I scare them. Yeh, that hurts. We were messing about and I put him in a wrist lock, he said ouch, your hurting me but for some reson i carried on for a bit. It's hapened before too.
Personality wise, I'm always on guard. I don't like to let people close although once we're going out then it's ok.
Basically this is playing havok with my love life. Guys are scared of me and even the brave ones are stone-walled. What can I do? How can I be a more trusting person? How can I sort out what seems to be an unconcious agression?
Help me, please.

Well my fiance's brother committed suicide yesterday morning.. he was only 23 years old.. he laid on his bed and shot himself with a .38 caliber pistol.. why would a person do this.. He had so much to live for.. I feel so bad i wish i would have pushed to talk to him more but he always stayed in his room.. Why didnt i do something to make his life better.. Could i have even done anything now that i do not know but i had a dream that after he shot himself and his spirit left his body he was sayin what did i just do.. what did i do why did i just do this and he was crying.. and i cant believe that he would do this when he was the one providing for his family ie his mom and uncle.. maybe it was too much of a burden for him i do not know only he really knows but he wrote a blog before he killed himself and it was really sad and he looked up to my fiance so much.. he said chris protected him and he wish he could have been more like him

She is a very sweet young woman and works hard at her job, but she doesn't seem to grasp certain concepts and she makes assumptions that are really incorrect, and the result is she gives wrong answers to the sales people I work with, who then come to me and ask me why? I am constantly having to make excuses for her inability to supply accurate information.

I've tried to take care of it by having a one-on-one chat with her and explaining how to find correct information, and I've pointed out certain examples of where she misunderstood information given to her, and in some cases for less severe issues I've left notes on her desk as reminders. She works for a different manager than I do, and I haven't gotten either of them involved, but I think I might have to if she keeps entering incorrect information. Is there anything else I can do to fix this situation?

American consumers are constantly being given a larger line of credit with lower interest rates, even though many have no way of making the payments they are already commited to. Contemporary science viewpoint of mankind as a deep machine spikes the grasp of mankind as a thinker alive. I look at the world today and realized that the western world's objective is to democratize the world if we can eg. Iraq, China, Cuba etc. My question is does this earth have enough resources such as food, finance and energy to sustain democracy worldwide? Do we have the required systems to ensure that all humanity will be treated fairly and at the same time still live lavish lifestyles as we are accustomed to in a democratic environment? The world population is growing exponentially, life expectancy in developed countries is increasing and I see serious challenges ahead in terms of improving standards of living, generally, in areas such as China and India with a population of over 2 billion(collectively) without serious consequences.... and I have not even included isuues related to Africa in this eg. health. What are your thoughts?
