I know that laughing is mostly a social cue so it doesn't make any sense to laugh to yourself in private, but is that not normal that I'm doing this?

Laughing at you seems a perfectly normal thing to do.

Normal is what makes you happy! And I'm glad I'm not the only one who's doing that. I often thought if others found out it would be emberassing or they'd find me arrogant because I like my own jokes. Do you have the same feeling?
Sometimes a fictonal situation pops into my head and you think: Haha, that would be funny.

P.S. Another confession: I almost can't walk by a mirror or shopping window without looking at myself and do a funny face.

It would depend on whether you are also looking in a mirror and making faces at the same time. This would give the impression of having another person involved, and thus would make it quite acceptable.

It is perfectly normal and lots of fun. I crack myself up all the time! In my opinion it shows that you are a generally happy person who likes himself and is comfortable being alone. Well adjusted it sounds like to me.

Peace!

hells yes. sometimes you are the funniest person you know.
i do it all the time.
some people only laugh in public because other people laugh, and i think that's sad. it's cool that you are entertaining enough to make even yourself laugh -- most people can't even do that.
it shows that you like yourself. or at least like to make yourself laugh.

It never occurred to me that it might be abnormal to laugh when one is alone. I often laugh when something amusing occurs to me whether I'm alone or not.
