I look at the world today and realized that the western world's objective is to democratize the world if we can eg. Iraq, China, Cuba etc. My question is does this earth have enough resources such as food, finance and energy to sustain democracy worldwide? Do we have the required systems to ensure that all humanity will be treated fairly and at the same time still live lavish lifestyles as we are accustomed to in a democratic environment? The world population is growing exponentially, life expectancy in developed countries is increasing and I see serious challenges ahead in terms of improving standards of living, generally, in areas such as China and India with a population of over 2 billion(collectively) without serious consequences.... and I have not even included isuues related to Africa in this eg. health. What are your thoughts?

The west doesn't want to democratize the world. Democracy is messy - it allows people to elect people that you may or may not like.

Everytime a country elects someone who disagrees with America for example, then people flip out, and want to invade that country and kill their leaders (just read ann coulter). They don't take into account that people in other countries will elect those who they think will get the job done, and they might not have the same goals as we do.

What the west is trying to form in the middle east, and around the rest of the world isn't democracy. Not as long as they insist on meddling with the governments and media in other countries, spreading propaganda, fear, and hatred. The US occupation in Iraq is the perfect example. Anyone in this country who speaks out against it gets labeled 'weak' and 'pro-terrorist'.

Stephen Colbert said it best: 'In order for them to have Democracy over there, we have to silence it over here.'

China has got its act together when it comes to population control. It is a lot larger than the USA, but if you look at the population growth, China has its act together. If anything, the USA is exploding like horny rabbits. Why? Factors like patriotism and a healthy economy.

What we lack is the ability to share - Yes, resources are there, but communist countries tend to create a wide separation of classes. Most of the countries you have listed are existing communist - but, if you look at the economic and political social structure of the USA, you'll see that the USA is a socialist country moving quickly into a communist country.
