Sometimes I have a dream about this person I used to be involved with. I may not have even been thinking about him. But there he is. It seems so real and I DO remember things he has said to me in the dream. I always feel down when I wake up. He still has contact with me sometimes ( in reality) but not often. Why am I dreaming of him? Can someone help.

Since I can remember I have often dreamt I was other people. And my dreams go into great detail. I would never know when I would be falling asleep whose life I would be dreaming more about. I am a woman happily married. This has nothing to do with low self image. I am happy with me. But I wonder how common this is. As I child I was an east indian magician preparing to go on stage and the dream would go in great detail. Another dream I lived in England during the ww2 and I was born after the war. I was a child orphaned and would dream more and more details as the years went by. I still dream I am other characters but I could go a good six months just being me and then suddenly I am another person again and I am dreaming of their lives. So anyone else in my position? No I am not crazy and on meds :-)

I thought I had read a long time ago that it may have something to do with a mans integrity, honesty, nerve, or some other character trait. Is this just a myth, or is there something to it?

i am 22 years old. i feel dull, uninterested, and uninspired in all aspects of my life. i don't feel a need or interest in conversing with most people i see on a regular basis. it seems i know what the theme of the conversation will be, and i simply don't care to waste my energy on entertaining their need to fill the air with noise. i try to write, paint, and draw, but all i feel is blah-ness. i don't want ever want to go to work, which i know is not unusual for many people, but i'm smart-i understand that until school is over i have to deal with a job of sorts to pay the rent. but usually i enjoy work, but i simply despise the idea of being there, and when i consider where i may be happy working, nothing comes to mind. i've found myself not wanting to be around my friends at all, even my boyfriend at times. it's as though everything i enjoyed once, no longer works for me. i just turned 22, is this normal? am i becoming a recluse? any idea how to come out of this...
