Why can't countries "make" their own money?

When you hear for example that Britain was in much debt after the Thirty Years War or the Seven Years War or whatever, first of all WHO did it owe money to, and what would happen if it refused to pay it back? Why did it not just make its own money or steal it from whomever (Rothschilds?) with their army? I just do not understand this.

Do you agree with the notion that Prostitution helps minimize rape incidents?

Dubai, Bangkok, Vancouver. Amsterdam - cities which have legalized prostitution in one form or the other - have fewer rape incidents than say, New York City where it is still illegal and hence, underground and controlled by the Mafia. I think prostitutes help unease the mental and relationship vacuums in the lives of many single men, especially Expats who might otherwise resort to rape, or at least unwarranted sexual molestation in the work place. Not all men can have live under vow of abstinence.

He has never gotten over your past how do you deal with that?

I started a new relationship and a new job. My boss started flirting with me and I condoned it for fear of loosing my job which was bringing in very good salary. Unfortunatley he found out I aplogised and quit my job. But he never got over it and he pesistently reminded me in addition to all my other wrong doings as the relationship grew and metamorphosed into marriage and till now he reminds me of everything from scratch I am just getting tired.

I'm curious as to why my ex-boyfriend always knew these things about me and why these things happen?

He knew things that I never told him. It would be a bout a month or two when we would go through a period of not talking ( we were on and off ). He would come up to me and say that he knew i still loved him and i knew he still loved me and let's just make it happen. The funny thing about it is those were the days when I really felt I wanted him back. He would do this periodically and I would always tell him no because it would scare me.

Also, before I would run into him I would always have a dream about him the day or 2 days before. I do not do this with anyone else. Before I knew him I had a dream we had sex and married. r had It grossed me out because he was just never thought of.
We don't talk anymore he moved, but I still feel some kind of bond or communication happening that we used to have when we would be away from eachother. Even though I really don't have any feelings for him anymore. I had a dream about him and me reuniting, i woke up to turn the alarm off on my phone and i

Overweight preteen?

My neice has been staying with me for four months because her mother is terminally ill. She is 11 years old and very sensitive and extremely depressed right now. She is atleast 50 pounds overweight and picked on terribly at school because of it. My son and I spend a lot of time at the YMCA and she never wants to go with us. She has been staying four months, and I feel she will stay much longer. Should I push that physical exercise is just a "rule" in my home or not push it because of all she is going through.

How long does it take for the physiological and physical effects of our cavemen to pass?

Even now our bodies and minds still have the main adaptations since the cavemen days (women are more sensitive to touch, men have thicker skin on their backs, etc...). It took generations to make those adaptions, but now, a few (hundred?) generations later our bodies still have those adaptions. How long will it take our bodies and mind to change once again? Or will we keep them until the end of human existance? Or has it started already and we just haven't noticed?
