Is death really that bad?

i am sick of people being so scared about death, what is there to be scared about?

that you'll never be in this world again...you won't be a part of anybody's life you just won't be!!!

perhaps we're afraid of what follows death, or how death will become. death can be painful and it's no suprise we all fear pain. there's a millions ways to die and a minority of those ways are pleasant.

also it's the fear of leaving your loved ones behind. it's like if you were leaving somewhere never to see anyone you knew every again...it's nothing to anticipate.

maybe it wouldn't be so bad if the media, like movies, weren't so caught up in death being the worst case scenario. movies seem to make all the 'heroes' escape death and portray that as the luckiest thing in the world. when people die in the movies it's followed by a load of saddness which ultimately will affect the viewers perception of what it means to die. back in the early days, death was almost accepted. it's the cycle of life afterall. no one can live forever

Thats just what I think. We're all going to ge there at some stage or another: its rather just like puberty. But whats the point of moaning and fearing it? It will be painful but then its all gone. Thats just life (actually death haha) for you.

Im religious but even if I wasnt I wouldnt fear death. Id much rather die than live for ever and ever and ever. It would be horrible to be immortal.

Not if you trust in God. I know it may sound crazy, but ever since I've had a personal relationship with Him, I haven't been afraid of dying. It really enlightens your perspective on life and death. Physical death isn't the end, it's really just the beginning. When you know that Jesus died for you and that you'll never really die, you can really begin to live.

Death, to me means separating from my loved ones.
It means i'll lose everything on earth that i've worked hard to gain over the years.
It means that i would have no idea what will happen to me
( will there be heaven or hell?)
It means my parents, my siblings, my friends and etc... will be sad.
However, on the other hand, if i'm selfish enough and think only about myself, Death means relieve of all the stresses i've been exposed to. But those cleaning the mess for me will have to suffer. :)

Rejoice in the death of a God follower They now live forever!!! We are only here on earth for a short time. If you know the word of God you would be the happiest you could be here and anxious to get out of here also. My only sadness on leaving here would be that I left someone behind without introducing them to the Lord.

I feel the same way. I was born in 1973 in 1970, I wasnt miserable, suffering, etc. I just didnt exist, what is so frightening about going back to that same state of non existence?

Just remember this point that- when you can't remember experience of birth in this world, what you can say about.death experience. Wheather it will pain or more than that, you will not feel anything.

How should we know? We're all alive.People don't want to die because they're afraid that there might actually be a heaven and HELL. Or could be they want to live forever, because they don't want it all to end.
