I thought I was nuts. Then I thought everyone else was nuts. Then I thought, how do I sort out this mess?

When they apply the principles in their life. Of all the branches of Psychology or behaviour I was interested with this one aside from Gestalt's. My professor at the university had us write an essay or a story applying the principles, it turned out to be a bit simpler than reading a lot of heavy texts. So it had helped me a lot!

Ask them to relate the subject to themselves so they can easily identify.

Shrinks and therapists I've dealt with seem to want to cure themselves. One was a former alcoholic and said I was addicted. One was obese and said I had an eating disorder because I was a normal weight. They all told me I was depressed ( I was when I got their bill). None of them diagnosed me correctly as being bipolar.
