For my whole life I've been shy. It's always caused me anxiety but I've always delt with it. I grew up in a great family with supporting parents and 2 brothers and a sister. I was never very shy when I got home from school but at school I was "the shy kid". I mean through out school friendships grew and I hung out with a cool group of kids and we always had a good time. Even senior year i had a girlfriend for 18 months (i'm now in college and we've split up "for now") but now I'm at square one. In college No good friends and extremely shy. I feel like my shyness has gotten worse.. I've really tried to get out there. I joined the rowing team and that getts me out of my room but still....I dont really talk to anyone. I feel like I dont have personality or humor...NOT trying to whine or sound desperate..but I know im capable of more. I know I can make some good friends but I just dont know how to get over this problem. It's impairing my happyness. I feel like I've developed

I have a friend from high school who was a feminist who made an interesting comment once and I was wondering if women out there agree with it. She said that some (not all) women who are lesbians are so because they think that having a relationship with a man is dirty (in a bad way) and having a relationship with another woman is much "cleaner". I have nothing against homosexuals, I was just wondering if there is truth to this statement or if it is more just her opinion.

there was a classroom inside a house wit me and a boy plus other kids were there too he went into another room with the teacher and asked me and someonter kid to answer a question for him then i was arguing wit the other kid so i help and walked away then he came out huged the other girl i got mad in my head then he kissed me we kissed for 2mins then school ended and we went to a pond and kissed for 3 hours plus i know this guy and he does not like me he is not my friend but he does not hate me

....I see this on bumper stickers. I'm sure it's mostly true. In addition to the above question, why the fear of being well-behaved, and the pride in behaving badly? Being well behaved does not have to mean being overly accomodating, being taken advantage of, or not being assertive.

I've worked in different settings and in some, I would rather work w/ the women in my office. My current employment.... I'd rather complete a project w/ my male coworkers any day of the week and twice on Tuesday! I know it's different for different people! What do you thiink? Women coworkers or men? Why? People will smoke cannabis and expect to become pacific and nonviolent, wheras people will drink a lot of alcohol & expect to become agressive or more outgoing.

but how much of this is down to expectation rather than effect?

if we said ''smoking cannbis will make you agressive and violent'' would the reality begin to match up to the idea?

In my dream, I was on the internet, and somehow, a predator found out enough about me to find me. He kidnapped me and beat me, and when I tried to run, he would hunt me down and hurt me. I tried to wake up, but I was trapped. I tried to defend myself, and managed to knock him out, but he just kept finding me again and again. In my dream, everything was so real, and I felt terrified. I have never felt more afraid before in my life. I woke up in a cold sweat and too scared to move. I have pains in the places where I was "punched". What does my dream mean? Thanks.
