I have a friend from high school who was a feminist who made an interesting comment once and I was wondering if women out there agree with it. She said that some (not all) women who are lesbians are so because they think that having a relationship with a man is dirty (in a bad way) and having a relationship with another woman is much "cleaner". I have nothing against homosexuals, I was just wondering if there is truth to this statement or if it is more just her opinion.

Not exactly true. Many women simply are not interested in men and feminism is lightly involved. Few women in my opinion resort to being lesbian because they don't trust or hate men. More women I believe do this simply because it gives them more pleasure to do that. I mean think about how many lesbians make a public display of themselves. Were they so concerned about the feminist cause would they display themselves in a sleazy "oh look im out for attention" type of way?
Not all lesbians are like that. Regardless of whether I agree or disagree her statement stands as an opinion.
SIDE NOTE: I WAS SURPRISED AT HOW MANY PEOPLE SAID THAT PEOPLE ARE BORN GAY. THIS ISN'T TRUE. PEOPLE ARE GAY BY CHOICE. THEY MAY BE BORN AS HERMAPHRODITES AND THAT IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. ALSO I HAVE TO EXPRESS UTTER DISGUST AT THE COMMENT THAT WOMEN ARE PHYSICALLY DIRTY AND IMPURE. I WOULD LIKE THE REMIND THE WRITER THAT HE TOO HAS SPENT NINE MONTHS IN THE WOMB OF NONE OTHER THAN A WOMAN! EVEN I AS A WOMAN WHO HAS SEEN SO MUCH CRUELTY INFLICTED BY MEN UPON WOMEN WILL REFRAIN FROM SAYING SUCH A THING ABOUT MEN!

A person is born gay and most are from a young age. This girl must have an interesting idea about this because I certainly have never heard this theory before. You really need to feel attraction to the same sex to be gay and if you are not then what would the point of establishing a relationship.

I agree, but only partly. I would say that there's a higher percentage of women who become lesbians because they're fed up with men, than vice versa.

There is a notion in Western societies that, where male homosexual contact is a waste of reproductive potential, female homosexual contact is just playful and not as problematic. This is a seriously patrarchal notion, as it belittles lesbianism. Consequently lots of heterosexuals find gay sex really disgusting, but lesbian sex titillating. The sad thing is that many "straight" women perpetuate this notion and refuse to acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, having lesbian sex is actually worthwhile on its own, whether or not guys find it sexy.

people are born gay, straight, or bi- there is no changing.\
but people who are molested/raped at young ages might refuse to date the gender that violated them and try the other one. this isn't natural, they are forcing themselves to do so.

Women are more dirty then men:
physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
