I have really horrible and morbid nightmares almost every night. Like murders, me being raped, killed, kidnapped, chased, etc. Does this mean something? Is it of a subconscious significance? Or just a coincidence? Thank you!

I feel like everyone I know is slipping threw my finger tips. My best friend is too busy for me now((even though this weekend she said she is relaxing but still doesn't want to hang out with me even though we havent hung out buy ourselves for like 3months now.)) And I feel like if i'm important enough to her then I think she can spare 1hour of her relaxation time to just go see a movie with me or something and with my other friend doesn't seem to talk to me anymore during lunch because she's talking to her other friends. My brother is moveing away because he's getting married. All the people I care about most seem to be just dissapearing. I feel so darn alone and I feel selfish because they have their own lives and I shouldn't be interfeering....what should I do?

I am observing someone in my chosen future profession. I get the vibe that she feels I'm not interested. I am Completely 1000%. Is it enough just to Know that I Know I am interested and she can think what she wants to think? I ask questions, i listen attentively, I smile etc.Thanks!

Thinking of the rush of day fading to black;
Me stiff and at last assertive;
My death the final maim to a life cast in shadow;
Raindrops falling on my grave satiate the sorrow that screams to be heard;
And I am painted blushed and lipsticked to portray a presentable conclusion to a never have begun beginning;
And all of the Klonopin wafers and Ativan tic-tacs in the end could not behead the demon that threw tantrums inside me;
All the love started and ended, lost but never forgotten is now the dirt that weighs heavily all about me;
At last I'm alone forever, the only good friend who always came to see me;
....And yet my flesh is still intact and I am sitting in death's waiting room.
The End

well i have a best friend who lives right in the townhouse across the street. her mom drives us to school and home after school each day but she is one grade older. we have been best friends for two years, always there for each other, countless sleepovers, over at each other's house each day.
well about a week ago we got in a fight over some little, stupid thing. i stormed out of the house and when i got home i assumed we would forgive and forget over the weekend.
well monday came and i was still a bit upset and when i rode w/ her it was like sitting next to a block of ice. ouch.
the next day i realized i missed my best friend (name's angie) a lot and wanted to be friends. but she brought her other friend home with her so i couldn't say anything.
i tried to make a point of being nice, but she didn't seem eager to be friends again. the next day, she ditched me and hung out with her sister, who doesn't like me.
after school the next day i once again was nice and things seemed to be...

From telling people that it is wrong to be gay or have sex outside of marriage, is religion hindering peoples ability to become more tolerant in today's society?

Having a child outside of marriage doesn'tmake you a bad person, neither does being attracted to the opposite sex.

The social stigma attached to both stems from religious teachings and where I believe that some of these teachings give us good moral guidance others are just simply out dated.

We live in a societly where we shouldn't be afraid to live how we want and express our own ideas etc and not worry about being shunned by the God fearing community.

If people want to believe in what their religion teaches then that's upto them, why do they insist on telling the rest of us that we'll be damned to hell for the things they don't agree with?

Lately, I have begun to experience strange phenomena when I have been falling asleep at night. It has occured 2-3 times in the past 2 weeks. I have been hearing auditory hallucinations. I hear children laughing and playing. I have also felt as if there is a steady breathing in my ear. On another occasion I heard pages being turned, as if someone was reading by my ear. I experience no paralysis and I do not feel intense fear. I have been researching this online and I came across a page describing Hypnagogic Hallucinations. I think that this might be what I am going through. I am very young and I don't beleive this is normal. Any input on the situation would be greatly appreciated.

Not just when thinking about sex and getting hitched. Do they just think differently or are they awkward and selfish just as an act?

i.e. they are quite capable of thinking properly, but they choose not to do so.

Now that the words 'pimp', 'trick' have become mainstream, what does that say about women? We all know that women and girls are still being abducted, raped and murdered everyday.

These are derogatory terms used to degrade women and the monsters who use them to earn money. Why doesn't American society ever stand up for women? Women's Liberation shouldn't even be a term. We have fewer rights in the world, regardless of color than any men. We are the prey and terms like these just reinforce that view.

Think it's time to step up and take our dignity back?

I wanted my parents to get a divorce when I was a child (now Im 29 and they are and I think Im a big factor). I also tried to be an alcoholic but I wasnt successful. I tried drugs for sometime but I decided to use my money on clothes anyway, I wanted to be an addict. I told an ex I had our baby aborted though I was never pregnant. i pretended to be a hooker to a guy but i am not! And yeah, thre was a time I liked being with committed men. I just have this self-destructive (or fine, generally destructive) mentality and I dont understand why. I liked being it these situations... until recently. Why the hell am I like this???

Here's the picture. Will Social Security and Disability be enough to take care of our parents? Aging parents without retirement or savings or decent cars. Aging parents who don't own homes. Combined can someone live off that alone?
