Having babies out of wed lock has been going on since the beginning.
But as far as American, where having babies out of wed lock has become accepted as "normal" came back in the 60's when the Hippies and Liberal feminists and the Liberals in government began to take hold.
Remember there was a time when the Democrat Politicians were not Liberal as they are today.
In the Sixties Americans began to disregard the Bible.
When the Bible is opened it shows men and women for what we truly are.
Man's fault's were renamed and blamed on past occurrences or mistreatment.
The drug addict and alcoholic became, Chemical Abusers, Adultery became free love.
If a person murdered another and was abused as a child it was treated as if it was not his fault.
When God and His Word are taken out of the picture, as in Govenment and the Schools of today, and about everything else possible. The very opposite of good takes it place.
If you will study history, civilizations start in slavery and as they progress away from slavery and make the full circle they always return and come back to slavery.
It takes years and many years but that is the way it is.
The babies being born out of wed-lock as you stated was not a dreamed up idea. We just let it happen.

I think if you mean women having babies when they are not married. This has been going on since the dawn of time or marriage. It has recently lost some of the stigma which is a good thing because these girls have a chance to make a better lives for themselves and the children themselves do not suffer from being labeled illegitimate.

I would say mother nature. :) Being men and woman having been having sex since the beginning of time and not all the woman were married. In some cultures it was totally normal to have sex out of marriage as it was part of making sure you were compatible and babies came from sex so it was no big deal.
I do feel it is better to have a baby with a single parent than parent who fight all the time or don't care for one another. I feel a child can learn more love from one parent than than from watching two people fight all the time and sleep around and disrespect each other.

You want to know who came up with the 'idea'? It wasnt an idea, it happens that some women who have children aren't married. Women have been having children since before there WAS marriage. What's the problem?

I think people have the right to choose to live their lives as they wish.
I'm married, but I certainly don't look down on couples that are unmarried and having children. Being good parents has nothing to do with being married.

i think the majority of the time it just happens in the heat of the moment but i personally don't think its a bad thing, but to the church it is though.
